Residence - St. Lawrence College Kingston

I'm with the gentleman below! I booked a room for two nights after doing a search on pet-friendly accommodation in Kingston. All of the front desk staff myembers saw me repeatedly walk in and out with my dog and no one mentioned that dogs were not allowed. But when I try to check out I was told there was a $53 surcharge because dogs were not allowed! I tried to reason with the individual stating that they are advertised as being pet friendly however this mail individual was extremely rude argumentative and arrogant!! Never again!!! I work in a customer service related occupation and if I behaved the way this individual did I would be immediately fired!!!

The staff were courteous and allowed us to park early while we explored the city - nice!The accomodation was bare-bones. There were stains on the nylon fitted sheets and top sheets, even the replacement sheets were stained. The beds were comfortable though.That being said, it was only $72 in high season in Kingston. Saving 50% was worth the small inconveniences!

Retrofitted residence rooms from the college, easy, stark, simple for what it is. Only docked stars off for the fact that the pillows seemed to have been sourced from Guantanamo Bay.

We spend 2 nights here and we think is quite comfortable. A bit far from Kingston downtown, but if you like walking we recommend a stroll to the city following the lake, about 45minutes.They serve breakfast during weekends.You can also swimm in the lake.We hardly recommend a visit to the restaurant of the center for creativty The Tett, it's facing the lake and so modern.

Rooms would be okay for summer or just one night but for the entire school year… it was awful. The building overall is disgusting, rules are strict, and staff aren’t helpful. If the school was great then it wouldn’t matter. (greatly disappointed in my first year)

Reasonable sized dorm rooms. Paper thin walls though so you are close with your neighbours. Would highly recommend the upgraded rooms. Basic room linens look like they came from the old Kingston pen.Not the worst hostel type place I've been but certainly not the best.

I'm driving across Canada and made a mistake booking by 1 day and am not able to change my reservation by 1 day (Tuesday to a Wednesday), depsite them being way under max occupancy. Unreasonable and do not care about customers. Garbage.

Basic accommodations. Great environment for students.Personally I found the beds too soft and being only a twin, they were too narrow.

OK service, large student room, good single beds, bathroom big enough & clean, nice quiet location near lakeshore park. Pricey for basic dorm rooms but few nearby alternatives.

I'm not sure if Erik who works the front desk, was born a prick or that's just how he likes to be. Really just hates his job, loves to take it out on the students. Rest of the staff are nice though.
