Bent River General Store, Gas & LCBO Outlet

The BEST burger I have had in a very, very, very long time. Be warned, however, that the Famous Bent River Burger is huge. It's more like two burgers stacked on top of each other, but so delicious!Stopped in not expecting much, but it was the only place nearby and we had an hour to kill. Was absolutely amazed by the flavor of the burger!I live over an hour away and am already making plans to go back just for the burger.Can you tell that I really liked the burger??? :)

Very cozy cafe with the best amazing food! The chicken wings is the best I ever tried, perogies is so good that we ordered more to take home. Highly recommend for everyone who likes homemade food! Five stars!

Stopped at this amazing little Gas Station/Store and LCBO and I am so glad we did. The couple that owns it were awesome. They were so friendly and helpful. It was an absolute pleasure meeting them and visiting their store.

The cafe is very cozy, bright and extremely clean. Violetta is such a wonderful, charming hostess and the food is excellent. Absolutely recommend stopping here, maybe after the Farmers Market in Rosseau?

Little store, huge variety. Excellent merchandising here - from hardware to birthday balloons to fireworks, alcohol and fresh produce. They have Beyond Meat products as well. Chances are you'll find what you need here. Wonderful little store!

I got wings as take out to cottage and they were great! Twelve was plenty to kill the craving for a fried snack.

Best Homemade Pies in Muskoka !The owner Ed is very Friendly and their homemade baking is phenomenal. Great selection of LCBO products and the Food in the attached restaurant run by Violetta is a fantastic addition to this General Store on Hwy 141.

Best service ever and Ed is the greatest person you'll ever meet. ❤️They now have their own reusable face masks that you can buy, and fresh baked goods and candles.

My review is based on my experience at the cafe. We were an easy-going party of 4 and the only ones in there during lunchtime in the fall. There was barely a welcome, and the server was very gruff with us - monotone, didn’t crack a smile, used as few words as possible. The food was okay at best. Two of us asked for our bacon to be extra crispy and in both cases it was not only not at all crispy, but also underdone by most restaurants’ standards. The bathroom facilities were not clean. There was no soap, and the water from the tap was ice cold no matter how long you ran it. When it came time for the cheque, our server suddenly became chatty and developed a smile... I would not recommend this place. I have had the butter tarts from the general store, and they’re good... just hope that one of their friends isn’t in the store because you won’t be able to buy them until they’re finished their conversation.
