this place is trash. Trash wifi, management was so cheap they wouldn't activate the heating/ac. In case you dont notice the whole building is a HVAC and your thermostat doesnt work unless they activate the heating. Walls are super thin you can hear everything ur roommates are doing. Takes them years to fix anything. Whose idea was it to place laundry room next to a bedroom. This place likes to profit whatever they can from students

I only took a tour there for a potential student residency. But I felt the place is clean and safe.Staff was polite. Reasonably priced.Has what a student needs.I would definitely choose it.

Berkay was excellent to deal with.**Update after moving in**Building fire alarm goes off in middle of night due to lazy people smoking in building that don’t want to go outside to smoke their dope/cigarettes and you are pretty much stuck evacuating as you don’t know if it is an actual emergency. Also quite a few floors especially ours constantly smells like cigarettes and dope.Quite a shame as it is a nice building in an amazing part of ottawa but plagued with people that ruin it for everyone else.Looking to move to Claridge building and hopefully it will be a better experience. The staff have been excellent to deal with but it’s the occupants of the building that I’m giving a lower review than I initially did.

I have stayed in many places in the city of ottawa and I have to say this is by far the best experience I have ever had in this city. The you Envie team and management.

Love living at here! Very convenient to go to school, and have everything including the fridge, washer and dryer, a nice kitchen prepared in the room. People in this building are nice too! Lovely, I’ll definitely recommend my friends to Envie!

It's hard to imagine sleeping in a house that's close to 30 degrees. Today it's close to 30 degrees. There's no air conditioning in the house. Facilities are aging, elevators are out of order, and the environment is noisy with the sound of decoration. The rent was high and the room was small. Besides being convenient for the students who go to Carlton, it's bad!

Do not recommend anyone to rent this terrible student apartment. Staffs at Envie are unhelpful and they would inspect your suite and room anytime they want without notice. Daily noise level is unavoidable and unbearable from 2 construction sites. Rooms are small and not worth the price

I have been waiting for my mailbox key for more than 1 month and no one help me. I talked with the front desk and also the staff James, they keep blaming the previous owner of the unit for not returning the key but not doing anything to help me with the mailbox. I feel tired to negotiate with them again and again, every time they will say okay but in reality they don’t do their job. And my roommate doesn’t have his key also, so we have to share the only key for our unit. Extremely not convenient. I really don’t know why those staffs do not have a good mood all the time, I just rent the unit, I am not owning them anything. Super tired.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------Since the previous post, I have send the email to the mailbox that they provided below. Today is Friday, if they can not fix the key issue today or even send one staff to open the mailbox for me (I don't even expect the key now), which means I have to wait at least next Monday to get some reliable response, and my letter will be in my mailbox since last Thursday. And my roommate still do not have the unit key, we have to check schedules with each other and make sure not change our personal schedules. Really feel frustrate and tired.

Had a really great time living here for a year. Price is totally worth it if your okay with less space, and provided you have good roommates. I had one roomy out of two who sucked and never cleaned up after himself and smoked weed all the time, but if you talk to management about it they will help you out as much as they can. Marina and the rest of the staff at the from desk and maintenance are all great to deal with and interact with on a day to day basis.Also, the closet system changed my life :).The ping pong net could be replace more often though, and the apartments always seemed to be too cold in morning and too hot at night, so you have to constantly change the thermostat. Overall, great memories!
