Inasmuch House-Women In Crisis

Amazing shelter me and my kids were supported on so many levels. While I was in this shelter I went into labour and holy hell the staff made sure I had everything I needed to welcome my new baby they even had a hospital bag packed for me in advance.and they surprised me with a doula for support as well. My son was also diagnosed with ASD and a genetic disease a week or so before and they helped me with that as well other women at the shelter were awesome as well we all got along.would recommend this shelter to anybody who needs help

I am surprised that this shelter has no issues disclosing their address. When we were in need many years ago, we were not allowed to tell anybody where we were living and had to meet our family elsewhere. They only did lock downs when there was a severe case of abuse which was our situation. Most of the women while we were there were friendly and were looking for new residence due to evictions. We enjoyed our time there given our circumstances at the time. We didn't stay too long though as we found a new apartment right away. I think the stay period is 6 weeks. It may have changed. I hope you never have to be in a situation where you will need to utilize this facility but if it happens that you do, ask about bugs etc. Bring minimal things with you and put what you can in storage or a friends garage.

I must have been close by. But I stayed there 6 years ago and it was really good if you needed a place and had now were to go. They always want to help you. They keep you moving like looking for a new place. When you first go there they will give you a purse or bag. It will have shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, a hairbrush, underwear in it. And if you don't have any, they will give you new pajamas. I liked it, and there's more than I can say.

The worst shelter ever. Liar Director and staff. Just Margarita, Jocelyn and Amanda are GREAT persons, the rest ... No comments at all

I'm so embarrassed I requested support for a client and her kids. I was so shocked when she is sending photos of bed bugs and cockroaches. Your agency needs to be disclosing this to families before they lose all their personal belongings to pests after losing so much already. Informed consent is key here. Do better.

Great place for families in crisis. They dont take donations anymore though :( you have to go through eva rothwell centre on wentworth n

I think the government need to scrab this shelter is like a prison for children and women in crisis. No good food, no care at all. They are only after your OW. Government need to come to the help of those people living in this shelter they seriously need help.

This place was life changing for me and my family. They listened and supported me and went above and beyond for us. They fought beside me in the hardest times of my life and helped build me up and encouraged me to believe in myself there is not enough thanks I could give to them. We are together in our safe forever home because of them and they will always be remembered for their part in saving our lives. We could not say enough about the amazing staff that was there and listened, supported and even sacrificed for us. They were kind friendly and never judgemental. THANK YOU for all you do and continue to do for the many women who have been though hell and made it through because of you
