There is no doubt that Lido is a fan favourite … almost every time I’ve attempted to dine there, there’s a wait. It’s hard to pass up the smell of those freshly baked pineapple buns which is why you can bet almost every order will include that freshly baked bun slabbed with a hunk of butter.There are better options for rice rolls at Harmony Bakery in the same building and Kam Do’s pineapple buns are comparable when they are fresh out of the oven too.I guess I don’t get the hype. Overrated and far tastier options within walking distance of Lido in my opinion.

Definitely try the pineapple bun here - hot on the outside with a cold slab of butter on the inside baked fresh and right out of the oven. So good! Their set menu was ok - at around $14.25 for each set (before noon) and you can replace the butter bun with a pineapple bun for extra costs. Good amount of customization. Staff was fast at delivering food. Wait was around 15 minutes on Sunday morning.

Really authentic Hong Kong style restaurant, and really love their milk tea and pineapple butter bun. Resonable prices and decent portion. Always long waiting time during lunch time. Limited Free parking available on site.

I don’t really care about service because that’s just how it is so it’s normal to me. The weird part for me is that you have to sign in yourself if there’s a line up for tables. If you want to share tables, you’ll get a seat faster but not thanks.The food was good. I got the breakfast combo with noodles, eggs, sausage, and a bun. You can ask if you can change the bun to “bo lo yau”. The satay beef noodles were a bit too salty. Everything was good. I love the HK style milk tea - smooth and with a strong tea flavour.The Cheung Fan wasn’t as good because the texture was not smooth but they added a lot of vegetable stuffing which makes it worth it (forgot the photo).

Authentic Hong Kong diner complete with Eastern and Western style items. It was busy and packed when we came—luckily did not have to wait long. Pineapple butter buns were warmed up, spongy and the generous slice of butter still had give. Delicious, smooth HK style milk tea. Loved the atmosphere including the old school cooks and hustling, friendly wait staff. Cash only.

I always hear people said how good its pineapple buns are. Unfortunately, it was mediocre and a little bit dry. Also other food was flavorless. One time only restaurant for me.

As soon as shop is open, it fills up pretty fast.Food wise it taste ok. The carrot cake taste good, but the Pineapple bun is below average, it’s not even crispy on the top.Service wise, it’s bad. The waitress just leave when im not even done ordering, and they didn’t even talk nicely. But yet 18% tipping is expected from you even if the service is not up to par.

Your typical HK tea cafe! The egg tart and pineapple bun with butter is a must order!! They make them fresh out of the oven especially the egg tarts and it's limited supply!! But the pineapple buns they always have, so don't worry unless you go to late then your outta luck!Enjoy everyone!!

Hong Kong Style restaurant. About 8am , full off people.Friendly service, pineapple hom bun with butter . A Hen omelette and a Hong Kong style milk, menus sticked the wall like in the old day.
