Prairie Spirit Bus Garage

If i could give a ZERO star rating i would.We moved out to our acreage last summer so this is our first experience with the bus system.I should have kept track of how many times the bus has cancelled but i can confirm 15 different times the bus has cancelled because of weather. Each of those 15 different times, my wife or i have had to make alternate arrangement (driving them ourselves and getting in late to work, arranging before/after school care, etc.). I will concede that a few of those times the bus has cancelled the roads were pretty bad, but as i explain below, some of the buses were running but ours cancelled.Each of those 15 different times the bus has cancelled on us, most of those times i've driven my kids into school to find a bunch of other buses dropping kids off.I drive the roads every day myself and other than the blizzard we were all in a few weeks ago where no one should have been out, the roads are drivable with reduced speeds and extra attention.The frequent cancellations as well as the infrequent times the bus shows up during the winter months. We can be told a time to have our kids waiting on the road and our kids can be waiting for up to 20 minutes in -30 degrees or colder.We've asked numerous times for the bus to come down our driveway to pick our kids up (atleast in the winter) because we have young kids, waiting for an unknown amount of time in the dark, cold and a gravel road with infrequent traffic on it. They've refused.I can't say enough bad about this bus garage and our bus driver.

My child’s bus driver works an average of 8 school days then falls ill, stubs her toe, pulls shoulder, etc the list of excuses is a mile wide. All without a backup driver. Leaving parents scrambling for a babysitter or driver to drop off and pick children up. The last minute bus cancellations are anxiety -inducing. The bus driver was using unnecessary scare tactics during Covid (ex:if you take your mask off for one second you will contract Covid and take the whole bus down with you) to help ease her own fears and control children. It left my child traumatized. It’s good when it’s good, but my god can you not find reliable drivers?
