I Love Your Dog - Positive Reinforcement Dog Training - Haliburton

We signed our pup up for puppy class before we even had him and taking him to Allison when he was just 9 or 10 weeks is one of the smartest things we did. He ended up so well socialized to both other dogs and people and got the fundamentals of manners. A Basic Manners class at the age of 20 months helped to reinforce some training. Allison clearly does' love your dog' and is very patient with people as well! We highly recommend her services.

Hi Allison.  I just wanted to send you a picture of Finn just chilling in his crate.  He is doing really well with his training.  I have been dedicating two times per day to work on skills and reinforcing things continually.   The house training is going well too.  He went to the door and whined three times to go out yesterday!!  It was awesome.  He had one accident over the last few days but that is it.  Thank you so much for the solid base you gave him.  I loved his individualized instructions that you gave me when we picked Finn up. Frankie went to Allison for B&T when she was four months old for just under two weeks. I was amazed by what Allison accomplished so quickly and really appreciate her daily posts and updates and quick responses to all my questions.I would 100% recommend Allison to anyone looking for a dog trainer. She is the best and truly loves all dogs! We will be sending Frankie back for more B&T for additional training and boarding in the future.

Allison trained with Walter for a week and he learnt so much in such a short period. She uses positive reinforcement and little Walter thrived in her care. The Best part are the dogs stay in her home and live like they do in their own homes. What a treat. We will definitely have allison work on refreshers with Walter for years to come.

Allison was so attentive! Small class size so she gets ample time with each pup. She is quite gifted in understanding your dogs behaviour. Definitely recommend her training and classes!

What a great trainer! Allison is energetic, positive and has great tips and tricks aimed at getting your dog to behave. Before she arrived to help me with Bailey, I was wondering whether there was ANYTHING I could do to encourage him to stop jumping, mouthing and dragging me by the leash. The benefits of her expertise were apparent almost immediately. She had suggestions on everything from harnesses, to leashes, to what kinds of treats to use and how and when to use them. And she left me with reading material to help refresh my memory on what we'd learned. So happy we found Allison at I Love Dogs Haliburton! Being new to the area she immediately introduced us to another puppy nearby so we could start socializing before our dog joined her for a Board & Train. He had the most wonderful time with Allison and her own awesome dogs. Her facility truly gives dogs the opportunity to learn in an enriching environment, with the river, forest and so many things to explore and do while they are there. She has a structured plan for each day and shares all the moments via social media so you can follow along on your pup/dogs journey with her. Between my partner and I we have had 8 dogs, and used many trainers and facilities. Hands down Allison is one of the best trainers we have ever worked with. She is organized, thorough and her handouts are very clear to read and understand - as much as it is about training the dog it is also training the humans and she does a great job with both. She is friendly, detailed and truly loves all dogs and wants to see them and their owners succeed. We can't wait until our next 1:1 in home session.

We took our puppy to I love your dog for puppy socialization and when he first arrived he was quite timid. Allison took the time to to introduce him to the other pups and in no time he was out playing. It built up his confidence to be around other dogs, we also covered some basic training methods. I would highly recommend Allison to anyone who has added a new pup to their home.
