We purchased a grandfather clock which had not been running for about five years. We brought it home and tried to adjust the timing on our own, but was unsuccessful. We found Weights and Works by a Google search. He came over and inspected it. He took the insides back to his shop and did a thorough cleaning. He returned a couple of weeks later and reassembled it.
