My husband had a harrowing experience with Dr Markovic. His root canal procedure seemed to go off without a hitch, but when unexpected excruciating pain kicked in days later the aftercare was severely neglectful.He called right away on Monday morning after a weekend of not sleeping, just taking over the counter meds, to ask about getting a prescription and hoping to come in right away to get it checked out, just in case something had gone wrong. He got the prescription for Tylenol 3’s, but it didn’t seem to help. He called again that evening, and had to call twice before the doctor would speak to him.The response from Dr Markovic was dismissive, uncaring, and unprofessional. She said that she had already explained to him that sometimes the procedure is unsuccessful, his tooth may have to be extracted and there was nothing she could do till the following day, he should go to the emergency if he had further problems.From there on he was treated like a nuisance every time he called the office. He had ongoing pain and was given no clarity as to what was going on. So he reached out to our original dentist office who had made the referral. The employee expressed concern that the meds might be masking the real problem, and said Dr Markovic’s office had sent his medical records to the wrong office so they were unaware of the results of the procedure.It escalated into a drama the moment we emailed Dr Markovic to address the problem. We received a very curt response saying that she had already explained it was an “endontic flare-up” blaming my husband for not reading the aftercare plan and declining a follow up appointment, denying that the medical records had been sent to the wrong office- essentially an attempt to cover her tracks and shift blame- which we didn’t respond to. The issue culminated in a conference call with our original dentist who had made the referral. Dr Markovic had scapegoated the employee at our original dentist who my husband had spoken to, claiming she was the one who had violated medical standards by providing an over the phone diagnosis when really that employee was just expressing care and concern that the procedure had not gone well. My husband would not have reached out to our original dentist had he received the proper after care from Dr Markovic. The fact he was put in the middle of this drama while trying to recover from a root canal procedure is just unacceptable.Bottom line, my husband was a patient investing in an expensive and critical procedure, tooth pain can be incredibly debilitating, and medical professionals have a responsibility to provide adequate care, during and after these procedures. This responsibility was not met, instead it became a shifting blame game, without addressing the core issue. There should be more regulation with private dental clinics to ensure that responsibility is taken for each procedure and every patient is taken care of according to professional medical standards.

My mother needed to get a root canal urgently as she was in severe pain. Dr. Sara was amazing to fit her in her busy schedule and see her right away. The service was excellent. My mother and I are very satisfied with her work and would refer everyone to go to her. She is an excellent endodontist.

I would like to share my experience at this clinic. I recently was referred to Dr. Markovic when I was having pain and discomfort with my tooth for months. I work as a nurse (RN), and also teach nursing students in Toronto for the past 20 years so I am very familiar with most health care settings and I have to say, I was extremely impressed with Dr. Markovic and her staff. I did not have to wait long for an appointment and the clinic is very easy to find. The clinic is clean and they give you foot covers to wear when you go in. The receptionist was welcoming and attended to me immediately. They were upfront about the fees. The staff explained everything that was happening step by step as I had my CT scan and other tests done before I saw the doctor. When I saw Dr. Markovic I did not feel rushed and she really took her time with me and answered all of my questions. She explained everything carefully and made sure I understood what her findings were. I am not familiar with dental procedures or treatment and what impressed me the most was how she explained everything and described my treatment options in a way that I could easily understand. I left the clinic feeling a sense of relief and after months of stress due to the problem with my tooth I truly appreciated this. I was surprised as well when after my appointment the clinic called and emailed to check how I was doing and whether I had anymore concerns or questions. Dr. Markovic sent my test results and her findings to my dentist as I requested and a copy to me. I highly recommend Dr. Markovic

Her staff was experienced and helpful as well.The office is in a convenient location and simply beautiful. I had an amazing experience with River Street Endodontics from the first contact with Adam as I set up my appointment to the actual procedure with Dr. Richard Komorowski. Richard took the time to listen to my situation, then explained the pros and cons of the procedure including any possible complications. I felt very comfortable under his care during the procedure with little discomfort and no pain at all. My only suggestion is that they could have used a bite block as I had to keep my mouth open for a bit during the procedure!Ah! The clinic is spotless with a calming ambiance, and the foot covers are a plus!

Went in to see Dr Markovic recently and couldn't be happier. Was referred to her by my dentist for a root canal. My teeth and jaw opening are on the smaller side and required special tools to be able to do the root canal. She was able to get everything done without complications. I would highly recommend Dr Markovic to anyone who needs a root canal as some can be very tricky to do properly. Her follow-ups were pleasant and appreciated.

I came to Dr Sara Markovic with a very big problem. My root canal was infected from a procedure I had 25 years ago back in Eastern Europe . The Doctor was very patient and very polite she tried to first clean it with the machine instruments however the composition of the material that I had was very hard and it’s not something they put inside the canal in North America . She has spent hours taken it out and cleaning it with hand instruments . She was successful to remove the old material and was very happy with the result .She continuously checked through the microscope to make sure that not even one bit is left . She completed the procedure and I was very satisfied with the outcome . Her patience in her care is unbelievable , she really has golden hands . I could not be happier . She gave me all the after care instructions and followed up with me after the procedure to make sure I was ok . I would definitely recommend Dr Sara Markovic to anyone who is looking for a great Dr for a root canal or any surgery procedure . I drove all the way from Etobicoke to see her .
