Tacofino Taco Bar
My recent visit to Tacofino Restaurant had its ups and downs. The service was disappointingly slow, with a 30-minute wait to take our orders and another 30 minutes for our food to arrive. However, the food was okay, although not perfect. The real letdown was the ice cream, which was of poor quality. Overall, it was a mixed experience that left room for improvement in both service and dessert offerings.

The (fried) chicken tacos were excellent, crispy on the outside and juicy on the incide. Their classic margaritas were very good as well. These two I would surely order again.The steak taco was a bit underwhelming, kind of looked empty" for $8/taco and over for my taste. The pork tacos were over

The sangria and fish tacos were amazing. Also had the nachos, which were taste and crispy. The patio backs on to an alley with dumpsters. The seating areas are quite separate from this alley/dumpster (higher up, and built up a bit). Otherwise, patio itself was very cute and service was great.

Hands down the best nacho’s I’ve ever had. It’s a small location but the food is SO good! Also tried the tacos - chicken and fish - they’re pretty packed making them super filling. I was a huge fan of the fish tacos!

Had the fish, crispy chicken, oyster and steak tacos. Oyster was my favourite, recommended by the server. Also saw the cast of riverdale which was a bonus.

Excellent tacos and loved the ceviche and tuna tostadas. Server was super friendly. If you love margaritas at discounted price go on Margherita Monday where the discount on it is all day!

I was visiting Vancouver for a couple weeks and this place was recommended more than once by different people. Let me tell you, I have eaten a lot of burritos in my life and this was by far the tastiest. I ended up getting it multiple times - my favorite was the crispy chicken burrito and the lemongrass chicken burrito. I could not recommend this place enough.

This place gets really busy, and that’s a testament to the food. I personally prefer the takeout burritos, they take a while to make, but they are a hefty amount of food and enough that you can probably eat 2/3 for lunch and 1/3 for a snack in the afternoon.Dining in is a different experience as it can get loud inside, even if there isn’t a completely full restaurant. They try their best to have food come out all at once, but when you’re in a larger group, they group all the tacos together. For example if 5 people ordered fish tacos, you get 5 of them at once. So your group will have to do the honour system and remember what they ordered.As mentioned, the place can get really busy, so some things will get missed. A good tip would be to order everything upfront when you first sit down so you don’t need to wait. If you want hot sauce or need an extra bottle of water, get that as part of your original order.Overall, a solid experience here, and will definitely come back for another takeout burrito.

The tacos from here are so fresh and absolutely delicious. I tried the fish and steak taco. I only regret not being able to try more. The size of the taco is a generous size.
