Clyde Small Motors

I'm of 2 minds on this one, firstly, my genset was serviced and refreshed as good as I could ever hope. The secondly though, i had to leave it for 6 months awaiting a Honda part. The place was packed with various engine driven tools so i may have also been low man on the crescent wrench". I still endorse Clyde though as the place for true conscientious repair work!"

Still waiting for a pressure washer. He looks very busy with both front and back of his store packed with customer items.

I was in a bind when I realized my generator was not working and I was taking the family off grid camping the following week. I searched for generator repairs nearby and Clyde Small Motors popped up. I called and Vlad answered on Saturday when they first opened up and said to bring it down. When I got there I noticed piles and piles of lawn mowers and weed eaters and power washers and knew right away that people trust this guy. I explained to Vlad that I needed the generator fixed by Wednesday and he pointed at the piles of lawn equipment and said “Listen if you’re asking me to make it priority I will” I said please do my kids will be so pumped if you can get it running. I received a call Tuesday afternoon from Vlad and he said to come pick my generator up it’s ready. I couldn’t believe it as I know these generators are not made to be worked but thrown out when they fail. Vlad replaced fuel line, fuel filter, cleaned out carburetor and intake and she was running like new. He also installed my battery without the hardware which I mistakenly threw out. Now we get to go on our family camping trip thanks to Vlad. He’s very old school and they simply don’t make them like that anymore.

Took 2 small gensets in for a no-start issue. Left them with him recognizing this is peak season for garden equipment/small engine repairs. He called me up 2 weeks later, all running well. Vlad is very personable with an obvious old-school work ethic. I am from Vancouver with extensive experience dealing with equipment shops in the Lower Mainland but would ABSOLUTELY recommend this repair shop for anyone requiring small engine work - well worth the drive from anywhere in the Greater Vancouver Area.

I came here to check if they carry the mower blade that got bent. (hitting a rock) When VLAD saw the blade, he advised me that I didn’t need a new blade because he can balance and straighten the blade still. I right away knew that the reviews I read about this gentleman was right. He could have ripped me off but he didn’t. I picked up the blade after half an hour as he promised and the blade was good as new. He even sharpened it. I worked in the service industry for over 40 years, and this man gives good service. REAL service and not LIP service. I mowed my lawn when I got home and the cut was so nice because VLAD offered to sharpen the blade. I’m one happy customer. More power to this gentleman!

My 17 yr old lawnmower would not start. Vlad gave it a full service and it now runs like new. Cost was very reasonable and the work was done ahead of schedule. Very pleasant to deal with.

My 6 year old mower runs about as good as new. Shop is jammed with machines in various states of repair. Owner is old school but seems to know what he is doing. Also, he has a dry sense of humour - made me laugh but maybe some people don’t get it. Anyhow, don’t expect rapid turnaround on repairs, but do expect honest, good work.

The gentleman is surprisingly pleasant and so helpful!! My husband and I both had to go traveling three weeks ago and needed the lawn mower to be fixed fast. And the gentleman fixed it two days before he promised - To promise less and deliver more is always wonderful, isn't it? And, it was also such a great job! My lawn mower wouldn't start after the winter. After the maintenance and replacement of the spark plug, it became so easy to start, even easier than when we first bought it. Also, so nice that the gentleman also cleaned my lawn mower quite a bit. Really appreciate it. Good service, nice work, pleasant person!

Tried other places but I trust Vlad with my machines more than any other. Also has a wealth of information that is very valuable to anyone in the gardening/landscaping industry. Starting my own business was much easier with the owners help. Gave excellent advice on equipment that saved me a lot of money down the road.

Being physically disabled, Vlad was really nice and came to my van to grab the generator, which was in for service, and he also cleaned it really nicely. Then he was kind enough to bring it out to my van again.Can't recommend enough, if you're physically disabled and unable to get in the shop just give them a call for help.
