I want to start with a recognition to the server/ owner (?) that we got something to eat which was ok and he that was trying to be helpful during the whole stay However in all fairness: the place is a mess. I do not know what kind of standard the place wants to represent, but for sure NO 4,5 points in a Google rating. Even with 50 plus ratings at the time we visited the place - this is a no go. My advice: close the place for some days , clean it up, throw clutter away and serve the food hot and just superficially heated in the microwave. Good luck!

Was really happy to find somewhere that has Yunnan style rice noodle soups. Our tomato rice noodle soup and our beef noodle soup were both great. Man working was nice and explained menu items to us. Will be back for sure!

Amazing noodle shop in the heart of downtown Halifax.The decor is eclectic, but you won't regret eating here!I had the Smile Specialty Hand-Pulled Noodles with Beef" and it definitely put a smile on my face!"

You need to try this place for real unhyphenated Chinese food. We walked by and it immediately drew us in from the familiar smell of peppercorn oil. I cannot stress enough that it reminded me of the best I've had all over the world. The cold noodles with sliced chicken stands out as the perfect summer food, slightly spicy and vinegary. The boiled chili oil over pulled noodles was exactly what I remember, with what looked like hand chopped garlic and green onions. The place is not impressive inside, but never ever let that stop you from trying. You can sit on the pretty avenue outside if you must.

I discovered this place at the end of summer and I think Ive ordered the secret spicy fried tofu and boiling oil chili noodles at least 10 times. It is amazing. Its my go to takeout and the spice level is intense, the noodles are perfect. Highly recommend if you can handle the spice!

Good food! Tastes great. In a nice central location offering unique dishes. Would recommend entering through Granville street instead of barrington.The servers were really nice.

This hidden hole-in-the-wall is perfect. If you want a bowl of delicious authentic noodles , try it. I had the lunch combo and the beef cold plate was delicious, the beef noodles were bouncy and great chew, and the tofu skewer was a tasty snack. Highly recommend!

Had the spicy fried noodles with beef and a sausage skewer. So very good. Right level of spicy for someone who enjoys heat.Not pictured is the sausage because I ate it immediately.... If you want authentic noodles you need to try this place.

Had the Specialty Hand Pulled Noodles with beef and a serving of Oil Chilli Noodles. Both Excellent!!! I will be coming back. hand pulled noodles are not easy to find in Halifax and this place is great.Friendly staff and beautiful “Golden Love Songs” playing …. “Girl you are to me all that a women should be”. What more can you ask for.If your vegetarian or vegan the options are a bit limited. Sorry not sorry.

Simply incredible. Authentic Chinese food that packs a punch. Good portion to price ratio, had the spicy beef noodles. Will definitely be back many times.
