I’ve had both wonderful and unpleasant experiences here. Some staff are above and beyond great, they’ll help you with anything and are attentive, patient, and knowledgeable. Other staff are happy to ignore you and avoid doing anything... and make you feel like you’re annoying them by being a customer. You feel blown off.Not to mention, I’ve had a terrible time of ordering an item through sprucewood. Would have saved me over a month of waiting and money from markup to have ordered from the product’s company directly instead of through sprucewood... but they neglected to tell me they decided to purchase via manufacturer. I was initially told one week’s wait, and they’d get the item from the local store where they replenish some of their stock? I’m told two weeks later they’re ordering it direct from manufacturer, it’ll take several more weeks, and no you can’t have your money back despite how it’s not what I agreed to...If I had other tack shops in the area, I’d go to them first. I tend to make the trek out to Behr or hope that Greenhwk London has what I need, instead of dealing with the 50/50 chance that I’ll be dealing with some of the worse aspects of Sprucewood.They’re not terrible overall, I’ve just had a few too many negative experiences that I can’t give a strongly positive review.

I am thrilled with my experience with Sprucewood's saddle fitters. Both Lydia and Nathan were a wealth of information, and happy to share their knowledge and expertise. I had tried 15 different saddles in total before finding one that works for both me and my tough-to-fit gelding. Great customer service and great quality products. Would highly recommend, and I will certainly be back.

The store is always very clean and tidy. They made the return I had with no hesitation, and helped me find what I needed.

I received a call from Dennis informing me there was a mistake in the inventory and they did not have the saddle I ordered. Dennis went through the hassle of calling his supplier to try and get this saddle for me. When he was unable to he offered me a discount on another saddle of my choice. Yet, he didn't stop there. He asked about my horses build to determine what would be an ideal fit. He gave me his personal number and assisted me even after hours. Any questions I had, he did not hesitate to answer them. I am very pleased with the customer service I received as it is very hard to come across today.Thank you very much Dennis, I 100% will be a returning customer.

Sprucewood has great quality products at a great value. The product lines they carry vary in prices so there's something for everyone, new riders to pros.
