Very disappointing customer experience. I've been paying into Blue Cross for years. I submitted a claim with several receipts for services that are covered (chiro and massage)and was only reimbursed for some of it. They are now making me jump through hoops to get my reimbursement. I can only assume it's in hopes of making it so difficult to collect that I give up and they get to keep my money. I spoke with a manager to tell them I was disappointed with their customer services and she was incredibly unhelpful and really sounded like she was annoyed more than anything. Not at all looking to resolve the issue. just spewing out her pre scripted excuses which at the end of it all don't make sense as her reasoning would mean I got all or nothing but they reimburse me for half of the claim. anyways. I'd recommend trying another company and save yourself the headache of dealing with these guys.

I called many times, no answer. I'm call #5, and kept saying they're experiencing higher than normal volume. Worst customer service. They waste their customers' time

This place is a gong show. I signed up for benefits in November. I was on the phone/in the office figuring out why my account had all of these issues on 4-5 separate occasions. Today i find out the auto withdrawal for the 1st has not been active. Very unimpressed, constant issues with your phone/computer services, I would not recommend.

So helpful, but wish pre-existing health issues and medications would be covered under the plan. The fact that an epi-pen isn't covered and if someone who has really scary allergies could die because they can't afford an epi-pen to at least help them sucks. People get health plans so they can get medications that they need covered... just saying

Don't even waste your time with this insurance company! I ended up applying for basic coverage and prescription drugs twice and was rejected both times (prescription drugs was the reason for rejection both times). The first rejection was in late 2022 due to the fact that I was still in contact with my specialist. They informed me once I finished with my specialist I could reapply for coverage. I agreed that I would reapply once I finished with my specialist but was contacted multiple times by phone and email to start paying for the basic plan coverage. THE REASON I WAS APPLYING WAS FOR PRESCRIPTION COVERAGE. This company sure wants money but doesn't want to pay out for insurance. I ended up reapplying once I finished with my specialist and was rejected once again. The person informed me that since I wasn't covered with blue cross prior to my diagnosis, the prescription (if I was accepted) would not be covered.I would give 0 stars if I could. This company is such a waste of time. I will happily take my money to a different insurance company where I will get coverage for what I want. Hope this insurance company goes out of business' because it is nothing but a scam. Not recommended and all new applicants have been warned of this fraud company!

I was so pleased to read that you will be covering the costs of Louis Lamothe. Good job and great decision. I am sure that your first decision was found to be wrong. Somebody made a mistake. So glad you could reverse that.

If one phoned them for info ,expect to stay more than 2 hours on the phone.Staff at downtows Blue cross...are very good. But trying to get your monthly Membership receide, for Taxation time. Be prepared to spend needless time on your Computer to load Down your Receide....because the one time Codes they give you ,do not work. I had to go to the downtown Blue Cross , for them to get me the receide.

As a cancer fighter and survivor my experience after my chemo therapy has not been well. Your team members need better understanding of the after effects chemo therapy patients will experience. Currently in a RTW program that I was told was flexible. They lied and have made my return to work miserable. It seems my employer asking for a slower pace on my behalf was not enough. Next my family dr note was and issue so I then go see my Oncologist for recommendations. Bloodwork ext pending for further diagnosisinto my exhaustion but we all seem to agree it's the long term effects of chemo therapy. All I asked was a extension of reduced hours for a few weeks. Got a certified note from my oncologist that it's his recommendations I resume reduced hours and wait on pending medical results and to have a reassessment when results come back. After arguing with my case manager my reduced hours have been accepted but I now will no longer qualify for disability benefits to offset the hours I am not working as of June regardless I am full time or not by then. I have an Oncologist, a occupational therapist and my employer all agreeing to resume slower hours because of the physical and mental exhaustion but that is not enough. Because my family dr originally signed my RTW program my oncologist has no say in the matter and my benefits will be suspended. Again all I asked for was a reduction of hours for a few weeks so I can physically and mentally catch up to 2 years of not working.

Honestly, I don't know why their prescription plan coverage sucks so bad. A doctor wouldn't prescribe a medication that wasn't needed but there are so many excuses why medications aren't covered...non-formulary, brand name, not covered by Sask Health, partially covered by another plan. They want the premiums and keep raising the cost but aren't willing to cover what is needed.
