The staff is absolutely wonderful and Dr.Hess did an amazing job taking care of my little girl and her surgery went smoothly. She is doing amazing now 5 weeks post-op! Thank you to all the staff for taking such good care of my baby! Yes, I was the crazy dog mom who stayed in the parking lot all day so I wasn't far away!

I have nothing but good things to say. We have had many animals seen here. They’re caring, compassionate and fairly priced. They have never in all the years and animals I’ve had go through, not been transparent in costs and if they absolutely have to go over the quote, I have only had this happen twice, and both were surgeries and unfortunately with surgery you can’t always know the extent until you’re in there, they call and talk to you. They care in way I’ve seen other clinics not care. All of my animals will 100% always be seen there. They even removed a rats eye due to a misfortunate incident. It was worth it, as she lived a long full life (for a rat) after.

I took my rabbit here after failing to get an appointment at over 15 clinics that i called for regarding her eye. Her appointment with Dr Hess went very well and he took his time to explain any exam and treatment he would do. Her eye is recovering well. She also had to be seen and i was on my way back to Dr Hess when i was called saying he had an emergency and my rabbit couldn't be seen,no problem,I understand that things happen. So i went on a search AGAIN trying to have her seen as she had a very swollen arm. Called about 9 clinics no one would see her,so i had to call guelph estates who stated she was not an emergency and wouldnt see her! They never saw her just a photo of her arm. So i called back acton vet where they booked her in for the morning as a drop off appointment. Took her back the next morning, she had xrays and tap done on her arm. It came back as her having cellulitis.. I am very thankful this clinic took me seriously that something was very wrong with my rabbit. I have 6 rabbits and i will continue to go here when necessary. Thank you to everyone who has looked after my girl chloe during her visits.

I have been taking my puppy to this vet now for several months. Everyone here has been wonderful and extremely helpful with all of our concerns. This being said, I decided to use their grooming services they offer from the clinic. These services are ran by a woman named Shirley. I have received noting but attitude and poor customer relations from her since we began using her services and I would advise anyone wanting to take their dog here for a grooming to completely stay clear of her and her services. My dog was taken in for a bath today and when we came to pick her up we were told she was unable to clip her nails (which was booked in with her bath appointment), due to her not staying still. My dog now has to go through the stress of a second appointment elsewhere to have her nails done because of Shirleys lack of patience. Then come to learn after calling the clinic, “Shirley” simply does not like using the collar/leash restraint for grooming dogs, which from my experience and research elsewhere it is very standard practice to use one of those. She proceeded to say she was worried the dog was going to hurt herself in the bath due to moving so much. Again where was the restraint? She is a puppy. I was then explained by staff that she tends to struggle with grooming larger breeds. I would have appreciated honesty when I booked and explained her breed, that she was not comfortable working on her. Finally, she referred to my dog as acting “crazy”, when she has never displayed any behaviour as such and is an extremely gentle dog. She would not accept debit and only wanted cash, which ive used debit many of times here before. I highly advise you take your fur babies to anyone but Shirley! I would like to give a shoutout to the one front desk lady Jessica. You were so kind and understanding with my concerns after today’s appointment and I appreciate you giving us a much better experience then the groomer did with your clinic.

Acton vet is always great to work with and has very caring people. Dr. Hess has been a lifesaver (literally) and I couldn’t recommend a better place for people to bring their pets

Our dog Marty has been a regular patient at the Acton Veterinary Clinic for over 5 years. On his latest visit a week ago, Dr. Steve discovered a growrh during his thorough routine examination. It was promptly removed, and to our relief, further testing confirmed no cancer. While sedated, Marty's teeth were deeply cleaned of tartar buildup. Thank you to all the folks at the Acton Veterinary Clinic for taking excellent care of Marty.

Dr Hess is a kind, compassionate, knowledgeable vet. He was able to treat my 16 year old poodle. While dealing with this stressed out old lady thinking I was going to lose my dog, giving us more quality time together. I highly recommend Acton Vet Clinic.

We live in Acton and our pets have been going to Acton Vet for over two years. We have brought in our two dogs as well as our two rats. The quality of service is outstanding!Several times, Dr. Hess has gone out of his way to make himself available with very little notice. Dr. Hess treats his patients as if they are his own pets, and this is so reassuring in times of emergency. Dr. Hess has helped us several times, including with a major surgery. Our puppy recovered so smoothly, without any issues at all. Prices are extremely fair and Acton Vet is very transparent.Acton Vet is also extremely helpful on the phone. Even when they are very busy, they have always found a way to help us get the information we need.Thank you for always being there for us Acton Vet!!
