Westland Insurance

I really don't like leaving poor reviews but I feel like it was required. I have been a Westland customer since 2009 from house insurance to auto and always had a very great and respected experience. Have spent tens of thousands of dollars with them. But after my most recent experience this has completely changed. I was dealing with Lesley White for home insurance on both a sold property as well as new purchase. After OVER MORE THEN A WEEK of dealing with in emails and over the phone she notified me that she wouldn't be able to complete the insurance in time for the house sale (On a Friday and closing was Monday) and would have to go elsewhere. Keep in mind this was a 5 year policy with west land that just needed to transfer owners. Also new yearly premium went from $1900 top almost $4800 which is absolutely shocking. Leaving us no choice to go with another provider which was able to complete the same insurance within 24 hours and lower rate. She had a mentioned she could not email me a physical quote but could only telling me coverages over he phone. So im supposed to sign something without even physically reviewing it? Seems extremely odd to me considering nobody else does that. Not to mention the attitude and comments over the phone. Extremely un professional. Anyways this was just a single employee that caused this review and does not reflect any other or the store itself. If I could I would give a 5 star to any of the other employees and location.

I visited the Cedar Westland Insurance location today for my annual vehicle insurance. As always, service was prompt, polite, efficient, and thorough (and thankfully they also had air conditioning!)Jane was a wonderful agent who informed me of a change that would benefit me and provided a kind reminder when she noticed that my license will expire in a few months. Her attention to detail - both of my policy, and to me as an individual not only made the experience smooth, but also showed that I was a valued patron.5/5 stars - highly recommend :)

Greater with a smile. Always willing to go the extra mile. The person who handled homeowners insurance was out so Sarah from Surrey did it with me over the phone. Made the experience really easy. They now have all my business.
