Hadih ~ I have an endless amount of love for this festival and society . They are my chosen family in the Okanagan . I have never witnessed women more passionate about curating a stage & platform for Indigenous artists to come together to be creative and to showcase their gifts to the world . This society started around a kitchen table, and I have been blessed to be part of this beautiful movement . I am honoured to feel loved and supported as an artist in residence on this platform and can’t say enough about the gratitude I have for this community . It has helped me connect back to my culture in so many ways . It’s been more that just a passion for our people and community, but also building this community has brought our ancestors and their teachings to the forefront . It’s helped artists have a place to come together as a family here in the Okanagan and beyond . It’s opened doors for many people ~ and this comes from kind, humble hearts ~ Limlimpt ~ Snachailya to my beautiful family at OIMAS for all that you do xo

I am filled with joy and anticipation as I think about the Okanagan Indigenous Music and Arts Society. This incredible organization provides a platform for Indigenous artists to express their creativity and share their art with the world. I am so proud to be a part of this vibrant community and I always look forward to attending and participating in their events. I have been an enthusiastic volunteer supporting the Okanagan Indigenous Music and Arts Society as I truly support their cause of Indigenous cultural revitalization. Please come join me at this incredibly unique and spectacular Okanagan Indigenous Music and Arts Festival!!! This festival that is run by powerhouse women is culturally significant for the positive growth of our youth as well as a one of a kind amazing event celebrating native culture and community. This festival is key in bridging the gap through great music, heartfelt messages of unity, peace and love. Every Event has been an experience that has added so much value to the community and every participants lives. The beauty amongst The Okanagan Indigenous Community is illuminating and heartwarming.

I can’t express enough how grateful I am for the entire team of this society. Jenny and Danielle go above and beyond to keep connection and unity at the forefront of every activity. Not only have they demonstrated to be wicked festival organizers and curators, but they’ve also put on amazing workshops and events that put education and fun back into our community including drum stretching, land tours, smudge bundling and even carolling to name a few!THANK YOU for the work you are doing. I appreciate OIMAS with every ounce of my heart and soul.

I'm looking forward to attending the 2023 Okanagan Indigenous Music Festival with my children and grandchildren! We thoroughly enjoyed the concerts, crafts, fashion show and food stalls in previous years. Jenny Money and her team of volunteers organize great Indigenous events that are fun for the whole family! Come learn about our Indigenous heritage and share in the excitement!
