I ordered from skip the dishes. Everything as packaged thoughtfully and even the egg was on the side which I appreciated & everything was hot and fresh. I ordered the kimchi fried rice with bulging beef, and the pork dumplings. The kimchi beef rice was unreal - so much flavour in both the rice and the marinated beef itself, wow. The egg on top worked perfectly and it was a big portion for the price, I took 1/2 for lunch the next day. The pork dumplings were really good but could have used a bit more punch of flavour (next time I think I would try the kimchi ones), and it came with a delicious sauce but definitely not enough sauce for 6 dumplings and I ran out after 3 haha. Would love for them to include a bit more sauce as it was so good. Will come back again for sure and would highly recommend!!

Been walking past this place for years and finally had the chance to stop in for dinner... and I'm really glad we did! The food was spectacular, which was only surpassed by the very friendly service. I will certainly be back!

We ordered from there here the other day for our office. The food was delicious. I had the B-Bim-Baap. I wasn’t sure how it would be put together with delivery but they clearly fine tuned it. Even the egg was perfectly cooked.Skip forgot one of our orders and a manager (possibly the owner) delivered the missing order himself with a bonus treat of a couple brownies for the mistake.Quality food and quality service. I’d definitely recommend them.

Lots of vegan options, and meat options too! Great price, and incredible service. Worth dining in for the little extra touches... They serve in a hot bowl when you dine in. Best Kimchi in Edmonton, broth, bulgogi, and soy garlic potatoes are amazing.It's a casual place, but the service makes you feel like family.We'll definitely come back and recommend, especially to any vegans/vegetarians or families who want to accommodate regular and vegetarian diets.

Great food & superb service! I’ve always been a big fan of their bibimbap. The shiitake mushroom and radish kimchi are must-add toppings. Decided to take advantage of the dining week deal for a quick dinner tonight. It comes with your choice of an appetizer, a main as well as few banchan (side dishes) and ginseng-chicken soup. So much care went into packing the food, which I really appreciated. This was my first time trying their jjajangmyeon. The sauce was delightful but the noodles were a bit too soggy for me. If I order it again, I’d get it with rice instead.

Good local Korean eatery, not the most authentic experinece I had in town but the food offering are healthy and delicious. Wish the sauces are self serve and I can adjust the portion but generally good experience. Excellent service. Limited street parking about 3 mins walking distance.

This will be one of my new regular places. The buok bibimbap was delicious and so satisfying. The kimchi is the perfect level of spicy. The servers suggested ways to improve my order and it really made the entire experience fabulous. The chicken soup is my new favorite dish.

Came here on the last day of Downtown Dining Week and it was packed on the Saturday evening. We had to wait a while for our food but it was understandable but also worth it - Henry, the owner, came by to make sure we were doing fine while we waited, which was very nice. The food was amazing: fresh, homemade Korean comfort food. The downtown dining week deal of $20 for the mandu, bibimbap and drink was a steal, but I’d definitely come back to try the rest of the menu.

Everything here is traditional and authentic, fresh and delicious. I usually get the kimchi fried rice with beef, along with pork dumplings and a piece of cake.While you're waiting for your order, the staff usually offer a cup of homemade chicken broth, which is a nice touch. My girlfriend and I have gotten to know the owner on a first name basis, and he often tells us the origins of the dishes, and what pairs nicely with the meal. Can't recommend Buok enough.
