Pella Windows & Doors of Dorval

We did a whole gut job in our house in Westmount and Pella came highly recommended. It was the worst experience we have ever had with any vendor in our year long major reno job. They are super responsive when it comes to the sale but then our installation date got pushed back 3 months when they had initially promised a 6 weeks delivery to install date.When they did come to do the job finally (after we called multiple times, showed up in person, threaten to take legal action!!!) they did not complete it then we had to go through this whole ordeal again for them to come back to install the flashings. Not to mention that the owner clearly has personality issues and was menacing and a pain to deal with.Thank god they are not the ones who actually make the product as it’s made in the US by Pella but Pella should really shut this vendor down.Avoid at all costs!!!!

I bought Pella products with the integrated blinds 10 years ago and they're are still working perfectly. Great products!

More then a year ago I signed a contract with Pella Windows & Doors" for three(3) windows fabrication and installation. The windows delivery took 4 moth longer then expected. One of the three windows has the installation defect that I'm waiting already 4 month for a fix. The window cannot be locked properly . But it's getting worst: I'm not able to pull it up to open. The company is not responsive."

My husband and I used this Company to replace some windows in our home having use them previously a number of years ago. After taking measurements, the windows took twice as long to deliver than promised and when they were delivered, one window was 3 inches too small. They left a complete mess after installation. The new window was installed a couple of months later and same problem. No clean up after installation and poor installation. No talk of apologies or possible compensation. This franchise has taken a once reputable option for windows and doors and made them an option to avoid at all costs! We'll never use them again!

We ordered several windows, a door and a sliding door from Pella at the beginning of June 2019. We paid the deposit which was cashed almost as soon as I left the showroom. Our understanding was that they would be ready in approximately 8-10 weeks. We did not receive our order until the end of September. When I called to inquire, the person I spoke to was incredibly rude about the matter. As for the installation, well, suffice it to say that some of the hardware and screens were damaged. The installer told us that these would be replaced. To date, that has happened. Furthermore, the first time we used screen part of the sliding door the frame started to come apart. I would stay as far away from these guys as possible. Almost every part of the interactions with them has been unpleasant and both the product and the installation leave a lot to be desired.

I recently had 15 windows replaced in my older Quebec Style" home and am extremely glad I chose Pella.The salesman

Took almost eighteen months to get the windows. Awful people to deal with. They're getting the reviews they deserve here.

We have been satisfied Pella customers for two previous homes, thus opting for Pella for the next home was an obvious choice. Our recent Pella experience began with a new construction project where we planned to break ground during the first year of Covid. Vahid Adibmehr, our Pella representative, was very helpful and responsive throughout the whole planning phase. We went through multiple revisions and finally arrived at the construction version, whereas all of our other suppliers and subcontractors remained silent due to overwhelming demand and undersupply of staff.After serious reflection, we abandoned the new construction and undertook a major renovation on a newly purchased property. Vahid was there for us, from start to end, as he had to begin the window project anew, which he readily did with enthusiasm and respect. All said, we are happy with the final product, the installation and the overall look in our newly renovated home. Pella is fortunate to have Vahid as a representative for he expertly managed the journey for us. We are grateful for Vahid’s guidance and professionalism.

Edit 2021-09-09: Still no news as to when our windows will be FINISHED let alone fixed... many attempts to contact the business, and they do not answer. It has been 2 years since we placed our order.Edit 2021-05-10: The company reached out to us the day after this review was posted (after months of being ignored), and threatened to not come back finish the job unless I removed my review... they seem to be holding true to this as it has been almost 2 weeks, and we have not heard back to schedule a date for them to finish the project...Terrible service! A small fortune was spent to replace 2 windows, a sliding door and a bay window.Our order was placed in SEPTEMBER 2019, and the job is still not completed.Originally, we were told the entire project would be completed within 6 weeks, yet here we are in almost MAY 2021, and the job is not complete. The initial installation was done almost 6 months later, but the outside job could not be done because it was winter. We had sent many e-mails to know when the rest of the job will be done, and they told us they were understaffed. They ended up finishing" the outside in August 2020. The interior is still not completed

Roger Barbeau went above and beyond in trying to find the perfect door for us. He was always available to discuss our project and find creative solutions that might help our timeline. Would definitely recommend.
