Just had an unusual part replacement done here ( needle bearing on Tacoma front diff, lots of forum threads exist on it ). Steve, Mel and I worked together on coming up with a plan that nobody else in the city seemed willing to do, and it worked perfectly. I had to buy a specialty tool but it was worth it to be more forensic. The appointment timing worked as expected. All around professional.The courtesy car is really good on gas compared to my truck too!

These guys are great. Been with them for 3 services now for my project Eclipse - replacement motor mounts, sway bars, and a fuel pump. Each time they're thorough and are always happy to provide quotes for elective repair. Their appointment booking's pretty reasonable as well - every time they've taken me in the next day after a phone call and on one occasion over a stat weekend, went out of the way to ensure my car was available before the stat holiday.Just moved to Marpole a few months ago and stoked I already have a reliable automotive a couple blocks away.

Granville and Avery automotive was recommended by my neighbour. The first time I took a vehicle to them was to prep it for sale. They inspected the vehicle and told me what needed to get fixed, along with estimates and what they could and couldn’t do. Their price was fair and I found them to be quick and no-nonsense mechanics.I have now taken my personal project to them (a car I salvaged from a friend. Car was in horrible condition; friend let the car die outside their house, developed a sunroof and windshield leak which lead to flooded floor pans and Molly interior. After emptying emptying, cleaning and doing the most basic of maintenance (stuff I could do at home with my own tools) I asked G&A to change plugs, wires transmission and brake fluid change as well as an A/C recharge. They ended up giving it a once-over and told me what else it needs, again, giving me quotes for each job and leaving repairs up to me, with no expectations.I will continue to return to G&A and send any neighbours, friends and others their way.

Highly recommend these guys! On the way to work I had a brake caliper get stuck on the highway, brakes smoking on fire as I drive to these guys, They took my truck in and had a new caliper on it by 4:00pm same day. Very fast and friendly service.

Probably one of the hardest things to find anywhere is a good mechanic, honest pricing, friendly service, good rates AND no hours of waiting around. Made an appointment and got in within days. Went to the white spot across the street for food and wifi - got my work done while my car tuned up in less than an hour. Recommend this place to anyone who is busy but appreciates honest workmanship. Recommended by their neighbors - Boyd autobody and glass who did some repairs and polished up my car! 2 great Vancouver businesses to support!

These guys deserve all the good reviews. We are from out of town so we didn't know where to go when we were having problems with our truck. We came in for a diagnostic check for something that turned out to be driver error. Steve took the time and did a thorough check of systems and made sure there were no issues. And then he refused to charge us. It's such a gift to find an honest mechanic.

Their shop rate was $120/hr. Most places I've used previously charge closer to $90/hr so I decided to pass and found another reputable place in minutes that charged $89/hr. If insurance isn't paying for the work I would recommend avoiding this place.

I've been going here for about 6 years and without a doubt this is the best garage I've ever used. The mechanics are all really friendly and very knowledgeable. Don't listen to the bad reviews. With 3 different trucks and cars for work and pleasure nothing remotely negative has ever happened like some reviewers have reported.Two things really stood out for me. A few years ago I had a question about coolant on one of our work trucks. They actually came to a work site and filled the coolant reservoir with the right coolant. I didn't ask them to do it. They just offered. On my last visit this week I dropped off my car on the weekend when I went to Toronto. I needed a new bearing kit installed on one of my wheels. On the phone they told me it was installed but unfortunately the other wheel needed the same service. When I got back to Vancouver to pick it up Mel said that I was such a good customer they just went ahead and fixed it no charge. This saved me about $450.00 for parts and labour. They also fixed a mud flap that was falling off on the back. This saved me $65.00. I didn't ask them to do either. They also have a very fast turnaround time.I wouldn't go anywhere else.

HAD been regularly bringing my maintenance needs here since 2015. After being very satisfied with thier work for several years. I slowly but surely started noticing minor service charges that were not completed. As a ONCE loyal customer I didn't make issue of the minor discrepancies. However they continued to occur. After making issue after several instances my mention was dismissed as a rare mistake. I dont agree. The last straw was when I was charged $5+ for washer fluid after not requesting a refill as I had done it myself just the day before. Something has gone south here. And I'm heading north.
