Last Saturday, my friends and I decided to go this venue, with hope of an enjoyable night out. We were greeted by a small-sized queue, which under normal circumstances would not have been a considerable inconvenience. However, our 30-minute wait seemed to stretch into eternity, courtesy of the door person.The perceived favoritism displayed by this particular door person to certain individuals, arriving much later than us, who were granted immediate access - perhaps owing to personal affiliations - was annoying but still not the deciding factor in us leaving. What really became frustrating were people, just like us, who had been in the same line, were somehow bumping the line and being let in by this door person. We didn't understand why.When we asked for clarification, their gaze seemed to consciously avoid ours, as if we were invisible entities on a crowded night. This left us with no choice but to depart and go somewhere else.While I would highly recommended this establishment on a Friday night when a different door person is working, I would probably avoid if I ever spot this particular one working (they has blue/turquoise hair). Their conduct, seemingly powered by an unwarranted sense of authority, could sour your experience.This was a harsh intro to an unwelcome culture that one would usually want to distance themselves from - a culture that breeds toxicity. It's truly a disheartening way to treat patrons and is not reflective of the hospitality one would expect from such a venue, especially during pride month.

More of a young hip crowd. We dropped in for a birthday drink on the way home with friends and liked it . Busy with dancing and pretty staff. Lots of fun.

The best place to go in Vancouver! Lovely staff (and such cuties) who always make you feel at home. Front door staff are great too, thanks Santiago for your help keeping things organized! Can’t wait to go back. Todd rocks.

Really cute little place, with immaculately clean bathrooms. We ended up being the only ones there and the bartender, who's name I can't remember, which is surely a great endorsement of his role of plier of I toxicating substances, made a fuss of us for our visit. Lovely downtempo, chilled vibe on this occasion, but hear it also host quite vivid cabaret too. Worth a visit.

Went to the van vogue jam (first time at 1181) and the drinks were great and I felt very safe. Connor provided amazing service and was super sweet! Had so much fun and can’t wait to come back again. Won’t forget this night!
