Hawksworth Restaurant
Food was amazing, service was great as well. Although my table wasn't ready and had to wait at the lounge for about 10 -15 minutes, not a big deal. What bothered me was the atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant. It was loud, noisy, huge table of 10+ sitting by tables of 2s. Last time I was here was more than 8 years ago but I remembered it as more intimate/romantice atmosphere. But nonetheless, food was delicious!

I heard many great things about hawksworth over the years and I am particularly a big fan of their sister restaurant, Nighingale. So I books the restaurant to take my mother in law there who is visiting from Taiwan. Unfortunately, the price we paid, the value just wasn’t there.Atmosphere: while not necessarily the restaurants fault, this is a classy restaurant so you shouldn’t be able to hear someone’s conversation from across the restaurant. I think servers should reserve the right to ask someone to keep their voices down a bit. The restrooms were often busy as well, and we often had to line up. Each one of us had to line up, so for one evening that’s a lot.Service: server was nice, but the meal took over two hrs to finish. There was too much time between dishes. Dinner should only take 90 minutes.Food: So given this is a somewhat special occasion, we went all out and got the tasting menu. In Addition we ordered the Burrata and Summer salad. Both of these were honestly pretty delicious.Then came the halibut sashimi. Right away, we noticed a fishy smell. So the halibut wasn’t very fresh.Next dish was the grilled octopus. My mother in law complained it wasn’t fresh. Compared to Asia, I must agree with her. It was chewy and mine was burnt as well.Our main dish was the duck. Unfortunately it was a little over done and dry. I added the foie gras which I admit was tasty. But my wife and mother in law didn’t order the extra.Dessert: fortunately Hawksworth made a come back on the rice pudding. This was done so week. It was light, delicate, and had some crunchy sweet flavours to round out a perfect dessert dish.All in all though, for the price and expectations of what is supposed to be one of the top restaurants in Vancouver, this experience fell short of that.

lovely place. all the staffs are very nice. from reception til the end was great service. especially manager Sergii and B, both are very friendly and nice. Id like to visit again! I highly recommend. Дякую за сервiс;)

An enjoyable experience with tasty food. Our server, Quinn, provided phenomenal service during our visit. The fried cauliflower appetizer was a delight to eat. And their flat iron steak was well presented with plenty of flavour. We'll come back in the future.

The food was way below average. I had wagyu tartar and lamb chops and they barely had any flavour. The lamb piece was very fatty. Definitely not worth it for the price.

We ordered the 3-course lunch menu. Extremely small portion which reflects on price. Elegant presentation. Delicate taste. Attentive service. Overall a good place for business networking lunch or friends get together. Will likely visit again.

Dine Out 2023 Experience:We went to this amazing place as part of our Dine Out 2023 journey. The atmosphere was glamorous, the staff were beyond lovely, and we were sat at our table very fast. Overall, our experience in this historical place was extraordinary. Everything was very nice. The food and the flavours were in such harmony that each course was a piece of art. Our waiter was super lovely and they checked that everything was going well a few times. That braised beef cheek was one of the best I had ever.Overall, it is a place that we definitely will be back to.

Hawksworth Restaurant
Hawksworth Restaurant used to be one of our go-to dining establishments. It boasts a luxurious decor and is conveniently located on the ground floor of my beloved Rosewood Hotel. The prime location and impeccable service contribute to a memorable dining experience. However, it is regrettable that the menu options have become somewhat conventional and lack innovation in recent times.
