Sport Chek

Nice store with ample parking available out front. I went on an evening to look at and possibly purchase a YETI cooler. Unfortunately they only had one in stock that I saw and it was way up on a top shelf and it was a larger size than I wanted. I asked an employee if there was any other stock and he said no, my best bet was to try the Leaside location. The young man I spoke with, was friendly and helpful. I had seen yeti coolers online, (on the Sport Chek website) but wanted to get an idea of the size in person. The rest of the store was fairly typical Sport Chek. Colourful displays, staff were available. Lots of different clothing available by your favourite name brands.I did end up going to the Leaside store where they had a little bit larger selection of these coolers but not many. I ended up buying online directly from yeti. Good shoe selection of all kinds.

Spent a bunch of money almost $400. 3 pairs of shoes. Multiple clothing items and a couple water bottles. Needless to say I couldn't carry everything. But sportchek would not give me any bags cuz they eliminated plastic bags and insisted on charging me 2 dollars for each reusable bag. Im not spending $400 and then paying $10 in what sportchek deems the value of their reusable bags.Sportchek walked away from $400 in a sale over not eating a $10 in the cost of the bags and giving them for free. Refunded my money and left everything on the counter. Thanks for saving me money.If sportchek continues to overcharge me for bags or charge me at all so I can walk 5kms home carrying my items, think again. Shopping at your store isnt a privilege or a tax I have to pay. I don't have to give you my money and I will strongly consider not being a customer and canceling my CT credit card if this stuff continues.Wanna know what customer service looks like in terms of reusable bags sportchek? Well look at popeyes supplements. They were never forced to use reusable bags and have being using them for over 6 years now and when you buy multiple items and or a large item or spend $100 bucks they give you the bags for free and thank you for being a customer and choosing to spend your money with them.Canadian TireSportchekMarks warehouseEverything owned by CT. You have more then enough money and profit margins to not have to rip customers off by paying $10 bucks to have bags to carry things home that they bought in your store while I pay to be your walking advertisement with your bag brand and logo on it.Atleast offer some cheap 10 cent alternative bag for when someone buys 1 or 2 small items and cant carry it and walk around all day without a bag. 2 bucks for bags what a joke and scam. Nickel and diming customers every chance you get and increasing profit margins.

All round sports store that isn't great at anything. The space is not very well used and they try to be everything to all sports and not specialized in anything. You may find what you need in clothing but nothing stands out, clothing is very repetitive from brand-to-brand which makes you want to walk out of the store. You're lucky to find what you want and we did! Maybe when they are in a seasonal transition is not the best time to shop. Even so the sales were limited to old stock. Would I shop there again? Yes, without expectation.

Extremely bad wait time. Only one employee at the checkout and no other staff in the store ready to help ease the congestion. Need better management.Edit: once I got the counter (David) was extremely helpful and sort everything out. Apologized for the wait time and asked all the right post purchase questions. Would definitely consider coming back but may get deterred if I see the same lineup again.

Your website says you have royal blue hockey helmets but I drove there and you don't! Every time I got to your stores it's the samething! Don't inconvenience customerscustomers time

Employees were friendly but services are pretty slow compared to most other sports Chek.

1) The staff are not only ignorant about the sport and the equipment but they also pretend to know and humour people. Me and my partner were looking for a couple of badminton racquets, we were told that a staff would come to assist us in that department, the person who came not only hadn’t played the sport but also proceeded to give us superficial advice on the equipment. He didn’t know what he was talking about to a point that even a newbie like me had to ask him if he even knew anything about the sport. Luckily he said he didn’t2) the person at checkout didn’t tell us about the 25% off sale. The SportsChek website doesn’t load on my phone(technical issue with the website all other websites do) and so I couldn’t check for deals. The voluntary intentional non discloser of this information was shocking and deceitful. I would like the store manager to look into this and call meI have provided this feedback in the feedback form as well with my contact information. Waiting to see whether they care about customer experience at all.**** update***1) I have filled up the feedback form again as requested by Tearra. Waiting to be contacted.

Great service by Moonisha. I was very impressed with her ability to remain helpful and kind during the fast paced conditions of Black Friday weekend. She went above and beyond to help find items and ensure that I had everything needed to go up north for work. I will try taking some of that kindness with me into my job. Thanks.

The worst customer service and manager socks because of her behavior I have the reciept it's under the date 30 period given and she told me she can't do it because of dumb reasons never going back
