We recently had the pleasure of working with DUKU for our home renovation. Anne and Paul are incredibly knowledgeable and skilled. They took the time to understand our vision for our home and worked closely with me and my husband to ensure that every detail was perfect. Their attention to detail was exceptional, and I was amazed at the level of precision and care they put into every aspect of the project.Anne and Paul were an absolute pleasure to work with. They were very professional, friendly, approachable, and always had a positive attitude.Overall, I would highly recommend DUKU to anyone looking for any design, engineering and construction projects. They exceeded my expectations in every way and I would not hesitate to hire them again for any future renovation needs.

DuKu was a great team to work with when buying our forever home and executing a major supporting wall removal. We bought this house and had a vision - it was a challenge, we knew that, and DuKu helped us achieve our goal. Paul & team was always prompt, on-time and kept to his word (hard to find these days!) - and just all around good, hardworking people. They were extremely thorough and detailed with ensuring our expectations were met, and the safety of our home, us and their crew were top priority while removing a major load bearing wall, and installing the 20ft steel beam. We would surely recommend the DuKu crew for any renovations and will hopefully use them again in the future! Keep up the great work!

Duku DEC assisted us with a fireplace and surround renovation. They provided a detailed breakdown of costs up front and kept us up to date on changes in the budget and costs. They were very sensitive to our budget. Their sensitivity extended throughout the project and was one of their best qualities. We have a small child in our home and their diligence in maintaining/cleaning and closing off the work space was impeccable.The project did overrun in time, but did not in cost.

Duku recently completed work on our basement renovation. It was our first major renovation with a contractor so we were a bit anxious in regards to budget, design, workmanship, and of course collaborating to get our basement vision. Duku came highly recommended by a neighbour who had just recently had their basement completed. Anne and Paul met with us - their schedules are flexible - to take an initial design consult and take measurements. They came back after a reasonable amount of time with different designs which were easy to understand and incorporated what we saw as being vital to our basement living space. They provided an accurate budget before the project began which was on point throughout the build. Paul oversaw a number of sub-contractors and after every stage of the build we were consulted and given the chance to provide our thoughts on the direction of the renovation. While the physical construction continued, Anne worked continuously with us to find the right look and feel of the materials for the guest bathroom, wet bar, office space, and theatre area designs. By the time we were able to finalize the living space's creature comforts; we had an excellent image in our minds, and on paper, of what we should expect. With any project, time and budget are challenging. In our case, the renovation ran a bit behind schedule, but we found it to be acceptable because of the great workmanship and attention to detail and the fact that we were consulted in every step of the build and given honest and important feedback for our concerns. In the end, we would recommend Duku for your next renovation - big or small - because they are thorough, honest and will provide a great job to meet your budget.

We hired Duku for our basement renovation. Their designer was really helpful at making the most of our space. Duku's skilled crew executed the build on time and budget. We hired Duku to complete a main floor renovation for our newly purchased home in Stouffville, and we are extremely happy with the results. Paul and Anne are such a pleasure to deal with and so knowledgeable about their craft. From the beginning we felt they understood our vision for our home and stopped at nothing to make sure we were happy. The quality of their work is amazing and we have received so many compliments from family and friends on our renovation. Paul from Duku was extremely friendly, professional, and helpful with having a large leaking window at the front of our house repaired. He gave us our different options with their costs and was honest about what each would mean for our house. He has been great at keeping in touch to make sure the repair successfully solved our problem. We have another repair on our home that needs to be done (interior damage due to the water leak), and we are looking forward to having him fix that for us as well!

We couldn’t be more pleased with the care and attention Anne, Paul and their colleagues brought to our renovation project. It was a huge undertaking — two walls were taken out in place of studs, new floors installed, we got a whole new kitchen that included appliance installation, countertops, cabinets, backsplash and pot and pendant lighting. Anne, with her background in design and keen eye for detail, talked us through our vision and provided blueprints every step of the way. Paul, with his engineering background and motivated work ethic, helped bring our vision to life by working here every day ready to accomplish large tasks and always with a friendly demeanor. They both have a keen knowledge of different aspects of renovating and made great suggestions of where to find different materials. We worked out a budget and timeframe for our project and they stuck to it. We had a great experience with DuKu. Paul came to our house and explained our options without pressuring us, he was very knowledgeable and approachable. We eventually proceeded with finishing the unfinished portion of our basement and Paul and his team did an amazing job. We also had a series of random jobs around the house that the Duku team was able to fix for us in an efficient way. After the jobs were done Paul followed up to make sure we were satisfied with the work. We are planning to use the Duku team in the spring to do some outdoor work. I would recommend Duku to anybody pursuing home improvement projects.

Our experience with Anne and Paul of DUKU was amazing. Very easy to work with and great attention to detail. From the original meeting and planning to the finished product we couldn't be happier. Their suggestion for using an IKEA kitchen created a solid base to add unique backsplash and countertop options. We were able to work together and come up with ideas that created an incredible transformation. I would highly recommend DUKU for any renovations you are considering.
