Action Transmission

Went there to have a caliber replaced. They replaced the wrong one and my husband was very specific as to which one to replace. ( Passenger side ) when we got it home and realized it was done in the wrong side we called back and they didn't offer any money back. Only for us to go buy a new caliber and they would put it on for us. So we had to have it done elsewhere and paid them to replace one that didnt even need fixed. will not be returning to say the least.

I have been using Action transmission for many years! They do excellent work they won’t upsell and have you do a service that isn’t needed and the prices are some of the best out there.

Had front axle and stub shaft changed. Also a cv boot on the other side as well as front brake pads. Brakes were sticking on passenger side so I returned to have the passenger side caliper replaced. Turns out they replaced caliper on the drivers side. First they said they changed the caliper that was hot. But the truck sat in the lot over night before the work was done. Then they said when they pulled it the 30 ft into the shop the drivers side was hot so they changed it. They would not own their mistake and just told me to bring another caliper and they would put it on for free even though I paid the couple hundred dollars and they replaced the wrong part. I now had the time so I changed the caliper myslef. If they weren't sure which side they could have just called to confirm. Would highly recommend going elsewhere. Edit: get on a couple months later and the cv axle and stub shaft they changed failed and had to be replaced a second time in 3 months.

I called asking about a code related to my transmission, they told me to bring it to check. When I brought it in they put it on their code reader and it came back as a cooling fan. They could charged me an enormous amount of money for doing nothing but they are honest and told me what I needed to do.Update: My transmission pan rusted out and dropped all my fluid. I had to get it towed, after they fixed my own with a used one to save me money, they noticed my 4wd and traction control lines were ripped off by the Tow truck. They quickly scheduled me in to repair it at the tow trucks expense.These guys are honest and professional, I would highly recommend them.

Honestly Kevin is truly one of the best. In 2012 he was able to patch up our cracked transmission to get us home from Nova Scotia to Ontario. And now today checked our concerns of slipping and gave the car a great bill of health setting my mind at rest. Thank you to the folks at Action!
