All Saints Monastery

Last time I stopped by, I got an overwhelming emotion, maybe the energy drink was the cause. Today my body is not aching as much as last week. Just a coincidence, but calming the Mind on the Monastery grounds it seems to have a positive outcome for a number of days.

The place to pray and get peace in mind, enjoy the beauty of nature and holy Eastern Orthodox services.

:) there may be bears at night. The Fathers are so lovely to talk to and true men of God. I didn't email ahead to announce my visit, but was welcomed with wide open arms :) visitors who are new to the idea of monasteries please kindly note that it really isn't like a resort or mall: no one is here whose job is solely to greet and tour guide and man the gift shop. These are folks who spend all day every day in prayer and asceticism, in pursuit of the Holy Spirit. We caught the Fathers having some free time to lavish time on us, but rightly we should only have expected to use the churches for quiet prayers :) so don't be foolish like me and email ahead.

Even I am not part of this religion, I felt connected to this place, maybe because of being located in a remote area, maybe because of the small ponds and all sorts of birds populating this area, maybe because the doors are open for everyone....I was told that this is a place of prayer for many Russians, Romanians and followers of the Orthodox religion. For a person who is just a spiritual being, this can be a good place for meditation and reflection

Great calming presence on consecrated ground at All Saints. The Theotokos Joy of Canada icon radiates holiness. A must visit for Christian believers.

Awesome place! Very authentic and very orthodox! Unfortunately very hard to find on the google, unless you know the exact name.
