I am sad to have to edit my five star initial review.Jan. 21 review: Perfect service. Great cocktails. Awesome food. Especially loved the octopus and venison. Will return. Thank you for a wonderful experience.Jan. 23 breakfast: great service. Great view. Great food. Very happyJan. 23 dinner: extremely disappointed with tonight's dinner. Service was exceptional, as always. Cocktails were great. Dinner was painful. We ordered two plates of octopus because we enjoyed the octopus so much from Saturday. This time, the octopus was extremely salty. I ate the food without complaint because I never complain but I was very disappointed. We then had the scallops which were also too salty. I was very surprised because I love salty food but again, I didn't enjoy. Then we had the house pasta. It was inedible. It was insanely salty. I felt sick just after eating a bite... again, I love salty food! I have no idea the difference between Saturday and Monday but the difference in food quality was night and day. The lovely server recouped our cost for the pasta but our appetite was so destroyed from the extreme salt that we decided not to order anything else. Very disappointed and I would not return based on tonight's food. This pains me to write this review because I loved our experience the previous two times but this time was just extremely disappointing.

Breakfast was great. Lots of healthy options, including plant-based smoothies.Looking forward to dinner tomorrow after couples massage in Drift Spa.UPDATE: Dinner was amazing. Tyler was best host ever. Will be back.

Beautiful view and good value for price on eggs Benny on crab cakes. Would recommend ordering a soft poached egg (I ordered medium and it was not at all runny). This was a lot of crab! And the potatoes were perfect.

Great experience at Currents!Everything was well prepared and seasoned, great halibut dish. Very tasty, good ambiance and wonderful views. My only wish would be that the wines on the list wouldn’t be so main stream.

Currents Restaurant is a pretty good and convenient breakfast spot in the Blackrock Resort.They serve your standard breakfast along with some locally inspired dishes. The prices are also very reasonable for the amount of food that’s served.The staff are super friendly. Unfortunately the wait to be seated and to get our food was quite long.

Gorgeous view, lovely service, delicious food & good portion sizes! The huevos rancheros was yummy as a burrito, and the shakshouka was super flavourful (and the bread was really yummy). Would definitely return!

The atmosphere and location are amazing five star. Service was good but the food was not worth the cost. Average at best. Nothing special. Kale salad tasted like burnt animal skin likely from the bbq. In my opinion, this was not fine dining cuisine but perhaps other items on the menu are better.

Another great experience.The food here is really good, creative and tasty.Staff tends to seem fairly green, but trained well and did a good job.The new manager was very friendly and helpful as well.Love the Black Rock Resort, and Currents is a great place to eat!

Enjoyed our breakfast in this cozy atmosphere looking out the windows at the stormy rocks and ocean waves. The food was amazing and the service authentic which is hard to find sometimes. Very well presented food and we would be happy to revisit.Ms. FancyGoogle Reviews3 million + pic views
