I've used Kay Law multiple times over the last 8 years for house purchases. They've always helped me through the process. They are quick to respond to emails and know their stuff.

So finally I bought my first house through them. I’m new in Canada and don’t know much about buying a property, Jamil and Jennifer make these things very easy. They made the process very smooth that I didn’t realize when it was over. Both of them are very knowledgeable and guided me in each step. Great people to work with. We are so disappointed in Kay Law’s, lawyer James Clarke.The main reason we would advise anyone to stay clear of this lawyer is the fact that upon closing the sale of our business in August 2021 Mr. Clarke paid himself from our trust account without our knowledge. He took it without an invoice and it was double of what he had initially quoted us. We followed up with an email to him as our phone calls were unanswered. He replied to our email with an explanation that there was more work than he had originally anticipated. While this is true, he had plenty of opportunity to let us know how this would affect our invoice.We also encountering administrative errors that bogged down the process.Furthermore, the law clerk’s phone manner was a clear detriment to process. Twice she hung up within seconds of answering, once saying that she was dealing an emergency and the other time claiming that her cell phone was very low on power. Neither call was returned by her.It’s ironic that their website mission statement is firms.“ to deliver high-quality legal services to our valued clients at prices that are transparent and more affordable……..”Stay clear of this Law practice!

Jamil was diligent, responsive and a great support while closing on the purchase of my property. When issues came up that forced us to push back the closing date and question whether we would close at all, he jumped into action and helped navigate us to a successful purchase.
