On the phone waiting on hold for more than 1 hour and as I got no answer, made my way to the office only to be told Staff are working from home.Need to follow a serious complaint with my council and MP.

Citizen Advice Bureau in Ilford should honestly be closed down as it’s the worst place to go for important advice! They have staffs who are the rudest, unfriendly and liars. They make promises that they don’t keep, to the point that I’m going to my local police to get my papers back. I was told to go down to Ilford library and then call them and someone will come down to me to give me my papers, one hour later I was still waiting and their telephone number was engaged throughout the day. I went back there the following day, and still nothing. The advisor I was unfortunately allocated, as soon as I explained my case, she just looked down at me and made it clear she didn’t believe me. I sent txt and left messages for her to contact me, and three weeks later, when I tried to log a complaint to CAB, then she called, when I was told by CAB that somebody else would call me and I made it clear to CAB that I never wanted to speak to that person again, and she got defensive too quick when I asked this person why it took 3 weeks to respond, and lied blatant as it didn’t send me no email, I’m on top of my emails and it never sent me no emails, not one. People like that should never be allowed to work within this environments when they are obviously cold-hearted people who can’t sympathise with people going through something traumatic. Thanks to CAB, I had to cancel my tribunal appeal as their added unnecessary behaviour caused my already fragile mind and body to become overwhelmed and I fell severely ill and advised by my doctors to stop. Thank CAB, NOT! Years ago, I was a major fan of my local CAB and whenever people I knew were in trouble with the law, domestic affairs or legal matters, I always told them to visit CAB as through my own experiences, the people at CAB were always welcoming and ridiculously friendly to the point that after meetings with them, you actually felt a massive burden had been lifted off your shoulders and you had a friend in the staff of CAB, sadly not anymore. The first person who had interviewed me was like how CAB used to be, very supportive, friendly and very encouraging, but then everything got worst therefore with the horrible advisor I was allocated with. Honestly, going to the CAB was the worst thing I did, I knew I was on track to eventually winning my tribunal appeal, I just needed some legal support but CAB ruined it all and destroyed my confidence and made me ill and suddenly I’m in and out of hospitals, undergoing examinations and on more medications. PLEASE, I ADVISE OTHER PEOPLE IN NEED OF LEGAL SUPPORT, PLEASE SEEK HELP ELSE WHERE, NOT ILFORD CAB! Ilford CAB don’t care about people, and they wonder why the government isn’t overly keen to help them to remain open anymore and they’re only open once a week for 4 hours, when they used to be open 4 days a week and they always welcomed you with a warm smile, and now they greet you with an expression of contempt, as if you being there is irritating them; the so-called advisor that I was given, looked at me as if I was an annoying dog-mess on its shoe! You have a much greater chance of winning your case by not involving Ilford CAB in your case or they will derail you and make a lot of promises that they won’t honour and lie to you, giving you information that are invalid.

Every time I call I put on hold then told there is no one that I can talk to. I would have to call back. I thoughtCitizens advice was here to help people. I’ve tried 7/8 times now, and I still cannot through to anyone…

Phoned, hanging on 5 minutes they cut me off. Phoned again they left me hanging on 24 minutes they cut me off. Phoned for third and final time, left hanging on for 45 minutes nobody answered. I gave up.Complete waste of my time. I would never attempt to contact them again.

I tried phoning for 2 to 3 hours couldn't get any answer so went in person rang the bell and they wouldn't talk to me without a phone appointment

I went there for an information but they said your best bet is going to you one that is been dealing with you because it knows everything but I asked I have actually got moved in this area so I need to be dealt in this area oh no no I suggest it's better if you actually go back there and things will get sorted quicker because they're bit slow here that's not the way of dealing with stuff
