Twin Island Cider

Twin Island Cider bottles up the bucolic charm and rustic beauty of Pender Island. When craft cider lags behind our robust craft beer industry, this team is doing the heavy lifting of salvaging apples from a variety of island trees, including unique, old-growth varieties and reminding us of the simple and profound flavours of true-to-form cider. For five growing seasons they’ve returned to their small cidery with apples from all corners of the island to create products that showcase the depth of this team’s aptitude and love for cider-making. Each offering accentuates the delicious fruit harvested on the island without compromise. Offering bottles, cans, cider club and tastings in the middle of a quaint orchard with ocean views -an experience well worth missing the ferry for.

Quaint little set up with great cider. We took some to go to enjoy on the beach, and later bought more across the island. Take a lil picnic and enjoy the shade. Owner was passionate and friendly although potentially a little tired and frazzled. He filled our water bottles which was super helpful as we pedalled around.

Small tasting room with decent selection, even early in the season. Would recommend visiting while staying on Pender.

Great cider made by great people. A true reflection of the Southern Gulf Islands. Such care and attention to detail goes into their lovely cider and Perry. Try as many as you can. Each one has its own unique flavour and sense of place.

We dropped by this lovely little tasting room on a hot May long wknd afternoon. Matthew and Katie opened the tasting room earlier this month and their ciders are made from apples harvested on or around Pender Island -- all were very easy to drink, especially on a hot summer day, and the service was great too. Matthew, one of the co-owners, is from Pender and gave us a history of where the apples were from and the types. We bought a few bottles to share with friends and look forward to trying their future seasonal ciders. Definitely stop by the cute tasting room if you're on Pender and look for their ciders on tap in Vancouver!

Such a pleasure to try these naturally fermented (no added yeast as I learned) ciders. Met one half of the owner duo and he was very knowledgeable, passionate, and a pleasure to learn from.Stop by this cidery on your way to the winery down the road. Say hello to the ducks and goats (cleanup crew he says) and sip unique, interesting flavors of ciders from Apple trees planted 3 generations ago.Such a treat! Cannot wait to see how this place grows in the next couple of years, I see it going far!

Stopped in at Twin Island Cider during our trip to Pended over the long weekend. Matthew and Katie have built an awesome little tasting room on a beautiful piece of property. We thoroughly enjoyed our cider tasting, and bought a box of their different selections to bring home with us to share with friends. Not to be missed!

Katie and Matthew have something really special here. The cider options never disappoint and the tasting room is always welcoming. Plus the goats and ducks roaming around the orchard complete the perfect island charm experience.
