Make sure to visit Olive et Gourmando when you go to Montreal. It’s a really cute place, where you will find delicious food. Along with our coffee and fresh orange juice, we had the Cuban sandwich, the poached egg on your face panini, the potato salad and a blueberry pie tart. What a delight!! Everything was delicious, made with fresh ingredients. So good, we didn’t leave a crumb of anything. To top it off, the service staff are incredibly nice and helpful. Make sure to go early, as there could be a line for a table.

The poached egg panini and the granola were amazing. The croissant was okay but I wouldn’t get it again. They were out of almond croissant unfortunately. The service was pretty good too. If you are going with a big group for weekend expect a long wait time.

Finally got to try this place. I came at lunch time and found out just how popular it is.Was able to try their saad and grilled cheese with onions. They had a kid friendly option without onions LOL It can be a bit pricey but both were truly excellent and worth the price. Small mistake was made (and not even clear if it was on our end or not) and without question or issue they took back the plate and brought what we asked. Very happy with the service. All the workers were polite and very good. Also enjoyed their latte! Cute spot. Popular for lunch time.

Quaint place to go for breakfast. Loved the selection of pastries. I would have given a 5 star if they had tea … I’m not a huge coffee drinker, and when I went today, they had no black teas available only chai latte. Food was excellent.

We thoroughly enjoyed the potato salad (the best i have ever eaten" according to my husband) and the ricotta and honey on brioche toast. The decor was very charming and the place was packed for the long weekend. Clearly very popular especially after the Netflix episode. However

Was recommended to come here by someone we ran into the day before. Came here on a Monday at noon and the place had a line out the door. We waited an hour to get a seat. You need to give them your name, and the guy will come out and yell your name and if you do not answer right away, you lose your place in line. I don’t recommend putting your name in and leaving because you will not be seated. Once inside, food service was pretty quick. The place is pretty small and has a really cool atmosphere - full of energy. The food was decent, but a little overpriced. We ate better food in Old Montreal, but this place gets a little more attention because of the hype. If you don’t have to wait an hour, it’s worth the trip to check it out in the middle of the day.

This cafe has delicious homemade food. The salty ricotta was amazing and the baked goods look incredible. I had the cinnamon bun which was very tasty. The service was also excellent. I highly recommend a stop here if you're in the Old Port of Montreal. It is a bit pricey which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

We have been to the ever-popular O & G numerous times over the years and have ordered takeout from them during the pandemic era. This also avoids the crowds and the lineups which do tend to be rather long, especially on weekends/holidays. However, we decided to have a late brunch/lunch today (which allows for a somewhat shorter wait for a seat), and we were not disappointed. We ordered the new Baked Egg (without meat), and the French Toast weekend special; both were SPECTACULAR and deserve to be recognised. The flavours were matched brilliantly and although the ambience of the place is quite hectic & a little packed (do not plan for a chill or quiet meal here), Olive & Gourmando remains one of the highlights of the Montreal breakfast/brunch scene, with amazing baked goods, solid coffee, and unique choices on their in-house menu.May it continue to serve Montreal with flair for many years to come!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting a well-known brunch restaurant in Montreal's Old Port area, and I must say, the experience was worth the 40-minute wait for a table. The restaurant was bustling with energy, and the wait seemed to go by quickly as we sipped on our coffee and chatted with other diners.Once we were seated, we were immediately impressed by the restaurant's cozy atmosphere and rustic decor. The menu was equally impressive, with a wide variety of brunch dishes that all sounded delicious. The food itself was outstanding, with generous portions that were both flavorful and satisfying. We particularly enjoyed the #24 salad and the Deluxe, which were both cooked to perfection. But what really stood out to us was the exceptional service we received. Despite the busy atmosphere, the staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist us with any needs we had. They even took the time to chat with us and make recommendations on what dishes to try.Overall, I would highly recommend this brunch restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious meal and an enjoyable dining experience. While the wait for a table may be a bit long, the food and service more than make up for it, making it a top choice in Montreal's Old Port area for a weekend brunch.
