Sunrise Spas
We had a spa years ago, and it wasn’t a great experience, we had purchased a high end spa, but found we only used 2 seats, the lounge chair you wrestled with so you wouldn’t float away and the sales people were more interested in selling you the spa and chemicals than anything else. But I decided to try a spa again, but I wanted to buy local from where it is made. Sunrise fit the bill. So we went in to the showroom to look and with the mindset NO LOUNGE CHAIR! After meeting with Jeff and him taking the time to answer all our questions, explain the changes in technology how they are made and even had us sit in a lounge chair (minus the water) we purchased the 870S with a lounger! It is amazing! We love it and are in it all the time. We added the UV/O3 water treatment system and it makes the chemical management so easy! There isn’t a seat in the spa that we don’t use, they all are different and by rotating through them you get a wonderful massage! The staff at Sunrise are amazing and Jeff is a asset to the company! We would highly recommend anyone looking for a spa look no further than Sunrise Spas. The spa was delivered by Fired Up Hot Tubs, and they were quick, thorough and very professional. From the shopping, to the purchase, the delivery and my calls to Jeff to answer any questions has been an amazing experience!

Good experience. We shopped around and the hot tubs were well made with good parts and came with a good warranty. Staff were excellent. We feel we got a quality hot tub for a reasonable price.

The team at Sunrise was very helpful and knowledgeable. They were great in helping us to make the right choice in hot tub that works for our lifestyle and family. The time line from order to completion was very accurate. Just waiting for our backyard to be ready to take delivery. About 2 to 3 weeks away.

Jeff was one of the most knowledgeable people we met for our hot tub purchase, from selection to delivery, all way to drawer! Thx Jeff, was your knowledge that made us trust in your information you gave us that sealed the deal on us purchasing from Sunrise!

Research helps you make the best informed decision. While we spent a whole year learning about hot tubs/spas. We can confidently say without a doubt Sunrise Spas is the BEST place to find your perfect tub!! Sunrise has a great knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating staff in Jane, Jeff and Tony. Believe me, we asked them every question you could think of. It truly is refreshing to know they all are very competent and make it a pleasure dealing with them. Our hot tub is just fabulous. Please see the photos and specs. The quality and craftsmanship in our tub is fantastic and it is Canadian. So nice to support our economy!! I

Incredibly disappointed in my Sunrise Spa. Hard to service, inconvenient to access inside components, non intuitive controls, and frequent quality issues. Buy pricier with better warranty and make sure service companies can fix them for you.I purchased a 2017 customized meridian model during a backyard renovation. My contractor suggested the company. The delivery was over 6 weeks late, and the contractor actually had to drive to a warehouse (in Ajax?) to get it so construction could continue. Not at the main location in Grimsby.Installed it in September 2017. By 2019 the heater had malfunctioned, and if I hadn't insisted that it was indeed a warranty item, I would have had to pay for the replacement. The headrests also came off at this time, and we were able to purchase replacements, but why did they come off?!A friend who liked my tub ended up buying one as well, and surprisingly enough, called to ask if we had any heater issues as his had just quit. Approximately 18 months after he had the tub installed. Coincidence? Now in 2022, it blew another heater. I called multiple service companies, who all refused to deal with sunrise spas. They apparently have unique parts and change the parts often from manufacturing year to year. I was however able to reconnect with the company that installed the heater in 2019, to come out to diagnose and service the spa. They confirmed that the heater was once again fried. I only use my tub several times per year, and the temperature is set and left at 99°f. I don't winterize it, as we use it year round. Other brand hot tub owners don't burn through heaters every three years! I had a Hot Springs prior to this for 20+ years, same use and maintenance, and only replaced a heater once, well over 10 years into it. There's no good reason a hot tub is chewing through heaters every couple years. And at the cost of 700.00 total to replace it each time, I have to wonder if Sunrise doesn't get some kind of kickback on their unique" parts?I will 100% be looking to replace it with a more reliable brand when the next repair needs to be done. Hopefully I can get a couple more years before it happens again."

We bought our hot tub from sunrise 3 years ago and were very happy with our purchase. Unfortunately, recently we went to use the hot tub and the water was cold. It is a plug and play and the plug was still drawing power. Upon taking the panels off we found that there was clearly a fire within the spa pack and all the wires were melted yet the plug was still drawing power and the GFCI did not trip. This was quite alarming and unacceptable. When we took the spa pack to Sunrise and explained the situation the first thing out of their mouth was that's your electrician's fault"! It's a plug and play so we literally just plugged it in so clearly that is not our "electrician's fault" when there was no electrician involved. They then back pedaled a bit and said they'd send it to the warranty department. We got an email back saying the warranty was a year so they can't do anything for us but they'll offer 15% off a new part. They wanted over $1100 for a new spa pack and we found the newer model at a store in London for $650! So not only not doing anything

This place is your one stop shop for all things hot tub. Great service always and my hot tub from them is still going strong. Replacement covers prices are a bit steep but that is secondary.

I was told by a reliable source (so I thought) that Sunrise spas are easy to maintain so while looking at hot tubs I didn't concern myself with this other than to look at the internal motors/electronics/pumps etc. WELL...this was a huge mistake!First I should say that we bought a Bestlife Spa, which the salesperson said was Sunrise's premier brand. We knew it would get a lot of use as we are very active with our winter sports. We wanted quality. We had several issues getting it going and this is when we realized how very wrong our intel was about ease of maintenance. There are no inspection panels so you literally have to take two sides and corners completely off to look at anything. Lining them back up to reinstall is a freaking nightmare!!! Doing regular checks to see if the UV filter is working, especially when there is snow on the ground, is not an option if sanity or our marriage is to survive so we decided to splurge on a local company to do maintenance every other week. This too has been an expensive waste of money. Several times they put in bromine chemicals (we are chlorine) and there is often a layer of scum around to water line even if we were out of town and hadn't used to tub since the last service call. They too had no intention of checking to see if the UV filter is functioning because of the snow around the bottom of the tub (though the filter is up high where an inspection panel would make this simple) We have to use a lot of chlorine to get proper readings although we were told with the UV filter we would hardly need any. This has not been a party tub. 90% of the time it is just my husband and myselfSo far owning a Sunrise/Bestlife hot tub has been a pretty expensive and frustrating experienceI will say that the tub is very comfortable and the jets, once we finally got all of the pumps manually bled, work very well. Nice and strong.
