Tailor was dismissive and, as another reviewer put it, surly.Shop was unexpectedly closed multiple times during operational hours, resulting in my having to come back three different times (from the gulf islands—hour long ferry trip one way and pricy cost of ferry!) to pick up the dress.Wasn’t too pleased to find a mess of 15 thick black loops on one side and 16 on the other (corset-like replacement of zipper on the back of the dress) when I got home, as it’s quite obvious and this is a $200 dress... now $270, considering cost of alterations.To the tailor’s credit, the job was done in a prompt manner.

I am ever so pleased that Vanessa opened this business here in Sidney. For a number of years, Tailor 2 Fit here has been my go-to place for alterations. She and her staff have done excellent work for me - hemming and narrowing slacks/jeans and adjusting sleeve lengths on sweaters and tops, and jackets. And the atmosphere is both professional and friendly!

I had a jean jacket zipper replaced and they put in a defective zipper. The lady was rude and did not offer to correct that mistake.

Somewhat pricey. Though they can meet your deadline and are efficient. Good deal on face masks with interesting choice of patterns. My black one was getting too depressing.

A few years ago I brought in a velvet dress to get altered, and the alteration itself was great, but they ironed the dress. You can't iron velvet that's basic knowledge; as a result, my dress was ruined, and the lady wasn't very friendly about it. I would not recommend going here if you have specialty items. However, I am sure they are good at the basics.

Wow I just called to ask if they sold Velcro and was very surprised at how I was spoken too!! An abrupt “NO we don’t sell anything” I then asked if they had it to sew on but she cut me off before I finished and said “No we don’t have it” and hung up! I was shocked!! I was wanting to adjust wrist pads and willing to have them do it or buy some to sew it on myself but I was more than shaken when she spoke to me like that. I will likely never give them my business or promote there’s. I like to support our local businesses but not this one now. There is no excuse for speaking to anyone like that. Unbelievably rude.

I've brought a couple of things in here in the past (skirt to be brought in, costume to be hemmed) and was happy with the work and price for these. Brought a bridesmaid's dress in to have altered - when I picked it up, it wasn't quite what I had wanted or we had discussed, but she sat with me and marked down what I was wanting. When I came back a few days later it was perfect - exactly how I was picturing, and was very happy that she did not charge me more for the extra time spent. So satisfied with this experience (again), and when I need anything altered in the future this is the first place I'll be coming to.
