As someone who is currently studying to be a teacher, Oak Learners offers a wonderful work environment where wellbeing and success for all students and teachers are truly valued. Kelly is such an accommodating and supportive leader, and all of the teachers are so talented, patient, and helpful. Something I have noticed about the environment at Oak Learners is the amazing sense of community, even during times when we cannot physically be together. All of the teachers take the time to truly get to know the students and build relationships so that everyone looks forwards to Oak Learners programs, whether virtual or in-person! I would highly recommend Oak Learners to students of all ages and abilities, as you will find individualized learning, a warm sense of community, and interdisciplinary programming that has the best interests of all students in mind.

My son attended Oak Learners Summer Camp this year and loved it. Registering for summer camp was easy and everyone was helpful with any question/requests I had. They were organized in providing details before each scheduled week and my son came home happy and exhausted from all the fun he had! The counselors and volunteers were amazing and provided details on my sons day which was nice. The pictures at the end of the week were a nice touch...thank you Oak Learners.

Oak Learners provided many options for camp this summer. I was so pleased to register my child for the Outdoor Adventures camp. There wasn't a day that he came home where he didn't have an amazing adventure to share! Merging outdoor and experiential learning into a camp environment was so perfect for him this summer, particularly after the last two school years. I would gladly recommend this camp and their other activities (check out their website) to anyone. We'll be back next summer if not before! Thank you to the summer staff!

During the 2020-2021 school year my children (12 and 8) were tutored virtually through the capable hands of Julia at Oak Learners. I sincerely think her teaching helped them get through the whole virtual learning experience while actually learning and growing as students. I truly believe that the lessons helped them to keep up with their school work and ultimately prevented them from falling behind in their grades. The lessons were a mix of fun (learning) games, strategies, tips and tricks and provided them with a different take on reading, english and math. When we started at Oak Learners my daughter's reading was behind and by the time we paused for summer break, she had caught up and was reading with ease. My grade 7 son learned how to compose and write stories and was able to brainstorm effectively and successfully complete a robust composition piece. We will be returning to Oak Learners for the 2021 school year without a doubt! I highly recommend them!

We really loved the summer camp program at Oak Learners. What's even more important? My son LOVED it! He learned so much but also had so much fun. The natural world is endlessly interesting and compelling for him, and he learned so much about the environment, climate and change. We went to the beach the following week and he started teaching us about ocean plastic! Furthermore, the camps are really well organized. My son has a quiet soul and didn't love the other day camps with more of a chaotic format. He loved oak learners for this reason. Camp can be in the wild without being wild. We can't wait to come back next summer!

Oak Learners is a wonderful place for kids. My son attended their camp for three weeks this summer and he was so happy there. He would rush to join his counselors and friends in the morning forgetting to say goodbye to his parents, and that says a lot. And in the evening he wouldn’t stop talking about all the fun they were having.I would definitely recommend Oak Learners and would enrol my son to the camp next summer too.

My daughter has been a student of Oak Learners' private tutoring program for a couple years now, both in-person and virtual. In the 2+ years with Oak Learners, each tutor took the time to get to know her, and tailor their weekly session to her needs. ‘Thank you, Oak Learners’ for being a significant part of my daughter’s learning and success over the years!

My son went to Oak learners for two weeks this summer at camp and had so much fun! His favourite activities were the “dance parties” and hitting the teachers with noodles and fuzzy green soccer balls! Will definitely sign him up next year. Thank you to all the wonderful staff.

My son Darius now 9 years old has been attending oak leaners for years! Prior to COVID-19 he went into the Center to participate in multiple different programs and he’s enjoyed every single one. Currently he is doing Oak Online and he’s so excited everyday do meet his teacher and his new friends. It’s been a great way to socially distance but still stay social for my only child.I couldn’t thank Kelly and Oak Leaners enough for creating such a lovely environment for my son ❤️.Highly highly recommend.
