Floral Design Landscaping, Fiberglass Pools & Nursery

We purchased 2 trees here. Price was good & nice to shop there.

We hired Hemke and his crew to install a fibreglass pool in the fall of 2020. While work start out quickly and efficiently, the final touches dragged on for years. It’s now the summer of 2023 and there are still items that are not finished and problems that have not been addressed. The most concerning issue is that shallow end of our pool has sunk, creating a several-inch depression. When we try contacting Hemke or the company about this, we don’t get a response. This is unacceptable. The company has taken on more than they can handle and the result is work that’s rushed and poor quality. I would not recommend them.

We had a backyard designed and purchased a fiberglass pool to be installed along with landscaping done by Hemke and his team. They were fast, professional, and did quality work. We have them come back and do our pool open and close as well!

If you're looking for trees, nothing beats Floral Design. Their prices are amazing and so is the service.

From the start it was a complete nightmare to deal with this company. In speaking with Hemke (the owner), it seemed like our dream backyard was going to be in good hand but it turned out the complete opposite. He will not abide by the specs and will not respect codes when it comes to electrical safety or simple pool installation. His brother the supposed electrican is incapable of doing the work properly. From installing the leisure pool, the pool lights to the interlock nothing was done right. Our pool lights were not installed with a conduit to the power and now we have to dig out the wiring to replace them (that is just one issue we had). I had to redo all the the work within the following year. Save yourself the aggravation of dealing with this company and go with anybody else. I have tried to call Hemke several times and he NEVER returns your call once you paid him in full. Don't hesitate to reach out to me and come see my backyard before you hire him. I am a Real Estate Agent in Ottawa and since my backyard was completed I ended up seeing several other backyards he has done and they were all done poorly.
