Breast feeding has been a challenge for me. Myself and my son had a rough start with having to supplement him from day 4 of life. We battled all sorts of issues including being a slow and fussy eater, to my supply not being adequate for him. I called Alyson for support for breastfeeding and I am so happy that I did! She had a ingenious system for me and my son to try to help get my supply up, but beyond that was the confidence and support that she gave me to continue on my breastfeeding journey with my son. We came up with a plan together, trying different things to get my supply up, and I can say that we are on our way to success! Alyson was wonderful to work with, down to earth, understanding and very knowledgeable. I’m so happy I called her!!

Aly was an absolute pleasure to work with! She was able to fit me right away and did an assessment through a virtual appointment. She was very professional, knowledgeable and caring. She created a plan tailored to my needs to improve breastfeeding my daughter. After a few days of implementing her plan, I saw great improvements in my milk supply and my daughter’s ability to breastfeed effectively-without getting distracted. She provided support for a week after the appointment which gave me the support and encouragement I needed to continue breastfeeding and ask her any questions. From the moment I got a callback consultation from Alyson, I felt taken care of. She changed my life, and my breastfeeding experience. When I got pregnant with my second child, I knew i wanted to attempt breast feeding again. With my first, it was not enjoyable and was a nightmare for me. It didn’t last long. Breast feeding my second when she was born was not easy. It was painful and again, was not enjoyable. I decided to pump and bottle feed so she could still get my breast milk. When my milk came in, I had enough to feed and freeze. Close to two weeks post partum, i noticed my supply started to dip. That is when I decided to reach out to a lactation consultant and found Alyson. I am so glad I did. She confirmed my daughter had a lip and tongue tie, the reason behind the painful latch. When I had the lip and tongue tie released, my daughter was still interested in breast feeding and latched. Aly has been there every step of the way and continues to be during my breast feeding journey. She is so knowledgeable and kind. I highly recommend Aly and I am so thankful I found her.

Alyson came highly recommended by my doula and now I cannot say enough good things about her. My 5 week old baby hadn’t breastfed in 4 weeks and with Alyson’s continuous guidance and encouragement, she is now back to breastfeeding!Alyson accommodated a home visit with one-day notice to assess why my baby had stopped breastfeeding. She identified her tongue tie had reattached and her lip tie was severe. She referred me to a trusted doctor to release them.She also helped me improve my milk supply immensely— I went from only pumping drops on one breast and 5-10ml on the other to 70-120ml in three weeks. And my supply is still going up each day!Instead of supplementing feeds with 3/4 formula, my daughter is now getting almost 100% breast milk. I couldn’t be happier!!
