My first time here, in a part of town I don't know well. A friendly little place with good service and a relaxed atmosphere. The food was fast in coming and the fish and chips I had were tasty. (Battered fish is often a good test because it is either done properly... or it really isn't. I'm happy to say that Café Cognac's cook did a nice job.)

We went there for lunch for a family gathering. The menu is varied and the food was very good. Would love to try their breakfast next time. Be prepared for the drive there. As of June 2023, the road on the way there is full of dips in the pavement.

Very disappointed of this place . We tried to make a reservation before going and no one answered the phone . We still went on a saturday morning (I understand is probably the worst time and day ) and we were told they’ll have a table ready for us (2 people) in 15 minutes, to wait outside they’ll called us . Two ladies enter after us and they were given a table 10min after and they never made them wait outside, we tought they must have had a reservation. 30 minutes later a family of 16 left and a family of 4 have left in between these 30 minuted, another couple walks in they were giving a table right away . We entered to see what was going on and the girl saw us like she completely forgot about us , even tho we were in front of the door the whole time, we were told she’ll get a table for us in 5minutes . We got a table in the most awful spot but still we gave them the benefit of the doubt . Server came to ask for drinks and dissapeared for like 20 minutes, a couple arrived 5 minutes after we got seated, the same server took all of their orders first and still never came to us . We asked someone to take our order (finally) . Food was not the best quality or taste . We had the classic breakfast, potatoes were nasty, I don’t understand how can you mess up potatoes that bad ( they tasted like old re heated potatoes that were never cooked properly). Sausages were good the rest was average . We also had one of the breakfast sandwich, was a weird mix of different ingredients, very dry and basic-ish they use the same bread as the toast, so it was very small and could barely taste the flavours. The salad on the side was the weirdest mix with a sauce that made everything taste worst . I usually would come back to these type of places if at least the regular breakfast was good , this place was no it . Save your money and go somewhere else or cook at home, believe me is way better .

This resturant is an eample for bad management. We were 3 people. Waited hour and a half and the foid did not arrive. We order the special of the day. We were told after hour and a half of waiting that there was a group before us. So bad service i did not have for a while. Food reasonable. Not more.... stay away specially if you with kids...

Went there for breakfast Saturday morning. Staff were extremely busy, our waitress was pleasant however very hard to get her attention to order. The breakfast potatoes were stale, hard and cold. Two other tables returned their food while we were waiting. Won’t be returning for the price and quality of the food.

Don’t order the shrimp, avocado and citrus salad! $22 gives you one orange slice, 5 miniature shrimps, 2 small avocado pieces, and way too much spinach. This is a supposedly a main dish..

Have tried their brunch twice and both times were disappointing. First time I had the baked apple pancake. Baking the pancake causes a chewy texture that is unpleasant to my pallet and the peeling being left on was an added disappointment. The second time I had the spinach cheese omelet. The eggs weren't whipped to be fully combined, the spinach was a spherical lump in the middle and the cheese was low quality. For a $20, tax included, omelet it was not worth it. With such a pleasant atmosphere I expected higher quality food.
