Jay's Starters And Alternators

Took an altinator in to get checked because it was making a sqeeling noise. They said they checked it and replaced the bearings. Electrically they said it was fine and charging well. Charged 100 dollars. Took it home and installed it in the car and had the same sqeel. Called them to check again what they did. They again said that it was a noisey bearing and replaced it. I took the altinator to another place to check and they said the internal electronics were toast. I got the altinator repaired and now working great. Stay away from Jay's because they don't know what they are doing and don't care.

Bought a starter from them for 358.40 worked for about 3 days then it died took it back to them to check and they repaired it with out talking to me first it came with a one year warranty and they won't cover it They say it's my fault and now want 300 dollars from me for the repairs I will be calling the better business bueral and lf have to will be taking legal action against them people have to stand up to these companies and hold them accountable

Lady on the phone sounded like a kid and did not care of the business. I gave all the details on Monday last week and she said she will call me on Tuesday. Today is Saturday and I did not receive a call from her. As a matter of fact, I got the alternator fixed today from another shop in Burnaby and Jays Starters were just 5 minutes drive from my house. I drove 25 minutes away to get the alternator fixed. I am very disappointed in how seriously they do NOT take a customers request. If I was the owner of this shop, I would fire the lady first and hire a better customer service representative to can help the owner not lose the business. I do not recommend this place at all.

Great place I would do business again super prices Was very nice customer service and even Though my part had to be ordered they fixed it extremely fast I can't say enough about the service and quality

Complete rip off.....the lady in the front lied to me that she rebuilt my alternator but instead had only changed the regulator causing me to break down again later that day. Also overpriced and very unfair .

Called a few places, and this one was had the best prices AND best customer service. In fact it was AMAZING customer service. A family owned business, both husband and wife were super nice and accommodating. The shop had touches of a family business such as car pictures.The alternator was quickly replaced with a rebuilt unit which looked brand new. The price was unbelievable! Thank You!

They are good as they have fix the problem promptly.

Needed the starter for my John Deere tractor repaired so I dropped it at Jay’s in the morning and was able to pickup later the same day. Great service and less than half the cost of a new one from the dealer... I would highly recommend
