For the purpose of sending this review I had to give one star if I could I would give zeroI was a client of this Agency when it was called Northern lights and back then I would’ve gave them five full stars!! They got me hooked up with second careers and got me into a private career college full tuition paid expenses paid and graduated and had a new job within one yearNot anymore, now it’s called Agilec and it’s under new management and new direction.Unfortunately I recently lost my job due to shortage of work so I was laid off I try to go back to this agency now November 2018th and I was told that they still have my information on file from 2011 however I have to do the whole application process over again.I went there half an early early before my appointment just like they asked so I can fill out all the paperwork and get ready and my appointment with a guy called Mike for 1 o’clock and I waited till 1:25 until the guy finally decided to come out to see me.It may not seem like much to you or much to them but my time is important just as you’re time is too! I don’t make an appointment with you for 1 o’clock to make you wait 25 minutes, I mean seriously my doctors office doesn’t even make me wait that long for the appointment.

I'm Just going to come out and be brutally honest about this business. When you first go in the promise to help you and it seems convincing. They act all nice and pretend to be helpful but after two visits they just stop caring . They are horrible at keeping up communication . They do not help with any job leads whatsoever and you do all the work . All they did was help me fix my resume . And even then they had 4 words spelt wrong on it . Steer clear of here . If you want to find a job go to people ready . Had such high expectations of this place and they disappointed me just like all the other agencies

My experience with this company or branch was, by and large, very negative. My job coach would continually flake on me such that I was having to hunt her down. I was helped with my resume and I was given some help writing a cover letter, that's it. Above all, the commitment made to clients is not followed through.

They're a good employment agency. Before I started working in media they found me a wonderful placement at the Buckhorn Community Centre. It was an experience I'll never forget.

I am an employer who has a small service and construction business. We used to use this agency when it went under the name of Northern Lights with a different office management team with great efficiency and success. In the past 6 months I have called and talked to them 3 -4 times. I explain I am in need of general labour with a basic knowledge of hand tools. Each time the response has been well not too sure if we have anyone suited I will take a look and get back to you in a few days. When this company operated under Northern Lights I would have a new Employee in 2-3 days.I suspect their funding is from the government and like most government run services there is no accountability for profit or efficiency.With the high numbers of unemployment it is unacceptable that it takes months to find someone to work in a general labour field @7-8 dollars over minimum wage.

Not happy with the experience at all. What a waste of time.

I went to the Agilec Courtice location for help finding a job after I was laid off. The staff were very friendly and helped me get through one of the toughest times in my life. I am very grateful for the support that I got and happy to say that they helped me get a full time job close to home. Cant thank them enough for their help! I would recommend anyone who is looking for a job to go to Agilec!

To be completely honest with you, I don’t like this agency. I’m now on my 3rd employment coach. My very first one I had she sucked at communicating. One time, I didn’t hear from her for months. I then moved onto another agency. She reached out to me and she said that she was trying to contact me. I told her that I wasn’t supposed to call. She was to call me. When I came back to this agency, a week later she went on vacation. I didn’t hear from her. I kept calling and calling. With this woman, she got mad at me because I didn’t show up for my appointment on time. When she was supposed to call me the week before to schedule the appointment. I’m still with the agency. I just don’t recommend them. You’re basically looking for a job by yourself. You apply for the job, get the interview and land the job. That’s basically what you have to do.
