Really enjoyed the croissants here. I thought they were crispy and airy and full of flavour. Would reccommend the ham and cheese croissant or the almond croissant. Just make sure to go early before they sell out!

Doing really well in Japanese cheese tarts, filling is creamy and cheesy yet the crust is crunchy.

As my first time here I found the pastries that they had left over were amazing!The cream puffs were still crispy and the filling didn't liquefy too much by the time I got home.The scone was great and moist. The texture of the topping is a nice addition.The fresh fruit croissant used quality fruits and the croissant itself was very well made.The cheese tart crust was very flaky and crispy and the the filling rich in flavor but light I'm texture. Good balance between strawberry and cheese.Over all I loved it and hope to try the other items on the menu that look amazing in IG.

B49 Bakery and Coffee located in Yale town. Known for its Japanese cheese tarts, cream puffs, cheesecakes. We went late in the afternoon so only thing left to try was the cheese tarts. Super soft and light with a crispy crunch once you bite into it. Yummy! We’ll be back. No seating or parking. Pop in to order and take away, you won’t be disappointed.

I love Japanese style cheese cake and tart, and here’s one of my favorite place! I came here around 2pm on weekend, and there’s line up. They’re making fresh cheese tart then Cream puff stick starts selling from 2pm. I prefer when it’s cold but fresh one is soft and tasty too!

Their cheese tarts were really good….5 stars!! Flaky crust with generous amount of tasty but light cheese fillings. The cream puff was beard papa’s style but long in shape and extra nutty coating on the puff. I liked the texture but the filling was lacking flavour….3.5 stars.

We passed this shop in the evening on weekend. I wanted to try their croissant & pastry but they already sold out. So, I bought their cheese tarts.- Original cheese tarts: the crust was flaky and good - baked perfectly! The original cheese filling was creamy and tasted good. However, I was disappointed since the filling was very runny (more like liquid cheese) and it was dripping on my hand. I had cheese tarts before so I know it wasn’t supposed to be this runny.- Matcha cheese tarts: the crust was good. The filling tasted good and I could definitely taste the matcha flavor. However, the filling wasn’t set properly. It was a bit better than the original but it was still a bit too soft & runny in the middle.I’m not sure why the cheese filling was runny and wasn’t set. Maybe it was the end of the day and the cheese tarts were placed on the hot tray all day (?). Otherwise, the taste was good and I might try them again next time. I’d suggest to come there in the morning.

B49 is a great place with good coffee and amazing pastries. We've been a couple of times with multiple people and always get a good assortment of treats. Just today we got a Pain au Chocolat, a fresh fruit croissant, and a Dirty Chocolate. All of them were so flaky and delicious. We each got drinks as well, an iced mocha, and iced vanilla cream latte, and a hot chocolate. The drinks pair so nicely with the pastries, but be slightly warned, their drinks lean more on the coffee side than the creamy side so if that's not to your taste just be mindful. Overall for about 10 bucks a person you can get a great treat on just about any day.

Delicious cream puffs and cheese tarts. Make sure to go right at 2 PM because some flavors sell out. Original ones are the best in my opinion. Croissants are great too, especially dirty chocolate.

They make amazing butter croissants — flaky, fluffy, and buttery. I didn’t like the tiramisu croissant as much though; the filling didn’t taste like tiramisu nor coffee. The custard cruffin was good. There was a lot of cream in that cruffin!
