From the vibe (coffee, water, beer, dogs, great gear) to the people (knowledgeable, efficient, honest), this is a great operation. Came in for boot fitting for tough feet and left within an hour. Boots are PERFECT and I appreciated having options (though boot one was the magic slipper). Will find more reasons to be back...

My husband and I bought complete new sets of downhill skis in October for the upcoming ski season. The sales team and trained boot fitter could not have done a better job. They asked so many questions about our skiing style, habits, where we ski, how often… to recommend the perfect model and size for us. The trained boot fitters did the best job! We have skied on our new set up several times and are so happy! Great Job Great Northern Ski! We appreciate the time you spent with us.

Great Northern Cycle and Ski is the best ski shop in the Flathead Valley. At the beginning of the season, my partner took some skis to another shop in Whitefish to get touring bindings remounted, and they were mounted incorrectly. We took the skis to Great Northern, and they happily adjusted them to the appropriate length free of charge (they were demo bindings so it was a quick and easy fix). We’ve been going there ever since.I was having boot problems at the beginning of the season, my feet were in agony after hard days of skiing, and I decided to go in for a boot fitting. At the boot fitting, the boot fitter, Brandon, was courteous and kind, listening to what I wanted out of a ski boot. After an hour, we found me a boot that fit well and it turned out part of my problem with my previous boots was that they were a size too big. My feet have never been happier skiing than they are in these new boots.I’ve also been looking to increase my ski quiver, and Great Northern delivered in this realm as well. They provide a phenomenal analysis on every ski that they have in stock and how it will ski in various conditions. I was undecided on powder skis, and they mentioned their demo program. I was able to demo two different powder skis and found exactly what I wanted. I ended up deciding I wanted an all mountain ski as well, and their expertise and demo program helped me make that decision. Abe and Shawn were great at guiding me through these decisions, and their product knowledge gave me confidence in my purchases.I couldn’t be happier with the customer service and the products that I have purchased through Great Northern Cycle and Ski, and I would give them 6/5 stars if it was an option

Really nice folks here, really nice ambiance, like stepping into a ski shop from the 80's but with all the modern amenities.Tom was super helpful with altering my new boots so they are fitting so much much better and also was a wealth of information on boot fit and skis in general.

They completed a Full Tune up for two bikes on short notice. Martin was so helpful. He talked me through different options on what I could get done on my bike vs. what I could save and wait to do later, he ran the numbers for me, I felt like I was talking to a trusted friend. Afterwards, he had us test the bikes out, offered to look at anything we had questions about.Finding a good bike shop can be tough, I personally want to feel like I can trust the person before I let them do work on my bike. They have gained a customer for life! The staff was also super friendly and they have an awesome patio to drink coffee and get work done. Total win.

Greatest experience at a ski shop ever!! I had no appointment and the owner jumped in and took care of my aching feet in ski boots. He fit me with a new pair that were molded to my feet and gave me advice on the skis I was using…..him and his wife are absolute gems and very caring about getting you comfortable and back on the slopes….more than a 5 star rating!! Your missing out if you go anywhere else!!

Great All around shop!The Prices are lower than most bike shops I’ve seen, and the employees are very friendly and really try to help you out. It’s a plus that they have coffee too!They also know a lot about skis, I was pretty impressed hearing an employee really finding the very best product for a costumers situation.

Great Northern is a tremendous place to get ski and bike gear, as well as a great stop for delicious coffee. The team here is extremely friendly and helpful and will do whatever it takes to make your visit fantastic.I bought ski boots here and was amazed at the level of experience and knowledge that the employees had! I’ve had plenty of trouble with boot discomfort in the past and was extremely pleased with the boots I got. What amazed me even more was the help I received from Willy, one of the “boot doctors”. He helped make my boots the most comfortable I’ve had and improve my skiing experience!

Rented a full suspension Specialized and enjoyed the local trails. The service guys were top notch with the setup and have a nice bike selection! Highly recommend them for all your cycling needs!

I popped in, looking for an ebike and was pretty much ignored. Ok, it happens…but it wasn’t busy. When I finally was asked if they could help me, the attitude was apathetic and when it was obvious they didn’t have anything suitable in stock I got a shrug. I’ve had a lot of customer service jobs and I never treated my customers like that. Talking about options or discussing ordering issues could have resulted in a sale or at least a better review and word of mouth. No worries, the other bike stores are better. All of them. Two stars because the dogs are sweet.
