We wanted to replace some well-loved furniture and also wanted to support a local Vancouver, independent, small business during the COVID-19 hardship. Our online research for a local business with positive, genuine reviews led us to visit Creative Home Furnishings, Vancouver. There we met Maria who was very personable and helpful in providing honest product information for our consideration. She never applied any high-pressure sales tactics.We live in a house built with many unconventional, angular features and needed custom sizing for our entire purchase. In total, we purchased a dining table, a chef’s stand, a bench, two bespoke storage units and two bespoke bookshelves in her beautiful Tangent design, plus four Harvard dining chairs. We were proud that all pieces would be made in Canada from Canadian wood, and that a local B.C. craftsman would be handcrafting all but the four chairs, sourced from Ontario.Maria worked with us over multiple design drafts based on the extraordinary dimensions of our rooms and didn’t commit to manufacturing until we were completely satisfied. She even suggested that the shelves of our odd sized units maintain visual, horizontal uniformity in a room with a sloped ceiling to add balance to an otherwise peculiar space.Every piece is solidly built with quality wood. They are artfully crafted and will be cherished long into our future. We are 100% satisfied and are already thinking of our next purchase from Creative Home Furnishings.

We had a bookshelf built that would fit into a pre-existing pocket" in our stucco walls. For anyone who wants to create their own custom wood piece this is the company to use! Maria and her team were great from first meeting to final product. The measurements had to be exact for easy insertion and Maria was patient in working through this stage - she is very knowledgable and good at trouble shooting. Fast work and perfectly done - it slipped into place easily and looks great. Highly recommend this company."

We have many pieces of beautiful furniture that we have purchased through Creative Home over the years and our latest piece, a huge king bed platform is gorgeous, 8 large drawers have really made a big difference in a small room! Brilliant staff and great product lines.

The furniture pieces are incredibly stunning, built with love, locally sourced materials, and amazing quality beyond my expectations. I have purchased many different pieces over the years and even designed a few custom ones for myself. They offer many different products, some of the designs are created in-house by the owners, and they all incorporate incredible detail, quality, and the overall finishing is simply stunning. I highly recommend them! Lucky to have access to such an amazing locally based furniture store here in the BC/Vancouver area.

I recently purchased a queen sofa bed from the Vancouver location. I am over the moon satisfied. Searching for a sofa bed wasn’t easy.With help from the staff I landed on a Van Gogh—locally made—in a great fabric with a matching ottoman. I also selected a different fabric for the throw pillows. Bonus!I was worried that the sofa would not fit through my curved hallway, after expressing that concern Creative Homes reached out to the movers they use and lucky for me they were going to be in my area and could pop by to measure. What a relief! The movers then and at delivery were friendly, polite, efficient and fast.One last thing… the sofa was delivered in under the allotted time. 6 weeks! Impressive… some of the ones I looked at were to be 2-6months for delivery.I highly suggest Creative Homes!

I am very pleased with my 2 new couches delivered yesterday, 2 weeks ahead of schedule. So pleased that they are locally made and a joy to deal with a local company which looks small but offers access to so many options -- their own designs as well as others, also locally made.
