I visited this wonderful shop just the other day. I have been following them on Facebook and was really intrigued. I love supporting makers, their hearts are in their work. This business model is so conducive to supporting artisans and connecting people. Kudos to Cheryl, the owner! She is a smart and innovative business woman who has created something special.I had the pleasure of meeting Cheryl and also Robin. They were so welcoming and warm. The store is beautifully merchandised and showcases all the artisans' work in their best light. The store smells so lovely and is bright, airy and sparkling. I had such a great experience soaking in all the beauty and of course, I came away with some items I couldn't resist.I was dubbed a new hubber" :) and am looking forward to my next visits!"

If you love shopping local and finding unique treasures, The Maker’s Hub is the perfect one-stop shop for you. The new retail boutique is a beautiful hidden gem in the heart of Durham filled with curated local and handmade goods. Every time I step in there is something new to see. There are also no processing fees at checkout which is an added bonus!As a vendor, The Maker’s Hub has helped me grow my new business tremendously, even during lockdown. I was able to join their virtual pop-up markets through their FB group, The Local Market – Shopping Group and deliver orders through their easy contactless pick-up service. They provided a wonderful and safe platform for vendors and customers to support local through these difficult times.As a new maker business, it can be quite challenging to decide when is the right time to consider retail. After researching many local artisan shops, I did not find the right fit but when The Maker’s Hub decided to open a storefront, I knew I had to jump in. The store owner Cheryl takes the time to get to know your products and will accommodate the specific needs of your business to the best of her ability. I am so glad I chose The Maker’s Hub boutique to showcase my business as the holiday season was a huge success. I am looking forward to continue growing my business with the help of The Maker’s Hub team.

The Makers Hub makes the maker life so much more convenient by being able to drop your orders off and allow the customers to pickup their orders when they're ready without having to wait for a porch pickup! The staff here are always welcoming and full of love and amazing energy from start to finish, feeling valued as both a maker and as a customer. You can also now shop makers online on their boutique and get to checkout the makers utilizing the cubes, shelves, and displays. Such a great experience! Ordered some stuff from Sleep Easy Candle Company and chose to pick it up from The Makers Hub. It was ready for pick up quickly and when I went to pick it up, the store was very clean and had a ton of cute stuff. Staff were friendly and the pick up experience was very easy and quick. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Very friendly and knowledgeable of all things handmade business woman. It was an honour and a blessing to be able to tap into her experience. She had great input to share about my business and very valuable tips. Today I had the pleasure of picking up a floral piece I had made by the very talented Amuse-Mains. The floral piece is absolutely stunning. It is everything I wanted & more! I highly highly recommend her work if looking for a one of a kind wreath or floral piece. The store was so nice & fun to shop in. I loved all the homemade pieces. Such beautiful and unique items. I can't wait to shop at The Makers Hub in the future and highly recommend that you check out the store if you haven't already!

The Maker’s Hub is truly a unique business, operating with values rooted in respect, community growth, genuine collaboration and transparency. As a shopper, I am able to find quality handmade products to suit so many different needs, while feeling good about where my money is going (back into my community!!). As a vendor, I always feel supported, inspired and part of a greater collective of like-minded individuals who celebrate each other’s achievements as their own.

I love everything about The Maker's Hub and I am so happy that I stumbled upon this local business when I was starting up my small shop. I have loved being a vendor in their retail store as the system that they use is extremely organized and the staff is always the absolute best.In addition to running a successful retail boutique, Cheryl also started offering solution consulting sessions for makers which I was excited to take part in. Convenient for picking up from local makers. The store is beautiful when you go inside to walk around. There is so many different things to shop around and look at.Highly recommend checking it out if your haven’t yet.
