Ming Wei Supermarket

Went in to buy Beef Tripe.When the worker select your beef tripe, make sure they squeeze out the water out (which they suppose to do) but they/(she) didn't for me.When I saw price, I was quite surprise. So I asked her, did you squeeze they water out? She said: She thought it was dry. mhmm

If I could give them 0 stars I would. There is little to no room to walk around because there are tons of boxes in the way. They advertise a price and then when you get to the cashier, it's a different price. The manager argues with you and when you prove them wrong, they still try to argue with you. There are plenty of other places to go in Calgary. Will never go back.

Average place to shop with readily available basics. It seems more spacious than most usual asian grocery stores. They have the authentic brands for things, produce seems fresh. The meats...are frozen over a lot (so it looks like). Pricing is ok...nothing too special. Smaller than the hk food market by a lot.

Clean, quiet store. Weekly deals posted on Facebook. This is one of the few stores in Calgary you can find real exotic tropical fruits.

Need meat, butcher section best in town, sad moving to a different city, workers are super friendly too

Located in small strip mall with parking. Good place for cheap meats. Some of the non-perishables seem like they’ve been on shelves for a long time.

Decent small chinese groceries store.

Don't buy meat from this supermarket: they cheat! I bought some pork from their meat department today (Oct 7, 2021). I confirmed with the salesperson that the price was $2.99 /lb. The salesperson did not give me a receipt after I paid. (They only accept cash, probably for tax evasion purpose. I actually asked for a receipt and he just mumbled something that no one could understand.) The label on the meat only contained a barcode and the total price (photo attached). No description of the meat or the unit price! When I got home, I found that the pork only weighed 4 lb 5 oz, which amounts to $5.19 /lb! In hindsight, the salesperson's behaviour was quite suspicious. He was checking if I was watching the scale when he weighed the meat. (Unfortunately I didn't pay attention at that time.) I learned from my lesson and will not ever buy meat from this supermarket. If you are reading my story, please be super careful when visiting this supermarket. If possible, pls share it with your friends in Calgary.

I go here for three things: dumpling wrapper, bamboo shoots, and Sher Li Hon. All great.

This is the place that we go to almost every week to stock up on porkchops and beef finger meat! Their meat prices are reasonable and many selections that you can't find at superstore and way cheaper than T&T. We usually goes to Costco close by and swing by this place to get some fruits, meat, and some veggies then go to superstore after. They have boxes of mango for a fairly good price! Come check it out!
