Oakville Children's Dentistry

After my daughter's first experience at another dentist in Oakville ended up in tears, our pediatrician recommended Dr. Michael Layug's office. First appointment went great and my daughter came out smiling. We just had our 3rd scheduled visit and every appointment has gone better than i expected.

Dr. Layug recommends the first visit of the kid should be one year of age followed by other services available here such as routine care, restorative care, Nitrous Oxide, general anesthesia, dental emergency and digital radio-graphs. Central location in North Oakville makes it easily accessible to this place with ample parking space and other amnesties such as grocery stores.

My kids have been coming here for about 10 years and we have never had anything but positive visits. A coworker recommended Dr. Layug after a terrible experience with another practice. Dr. Layugand every team member have always put my kids at ease. The vibe with everyone here is easy-going. I cannot recommend them enough!

We consulted Dr. Mike for my child's dental treatment. I will not recommend treatment with Dr. Mike as he gave us an approximate bill for $4500 and scared us a lot. Instead of suggesting the right treatment and making us comfortable, Dr. Mike gave us a lot of anxiety. The practice of not billing directly to the insurance is unacceptable. He said we will have to pay the entire amount 2 weeks before the treatment and then claim it later with the insurance. I felt like the focus throughout was on the amount rather than what will be done for the treatment. The staff was helpful in terms of booking the appointment and calling us for follow-ups.

Our son has been seeing Dr Mike for 17 years! Yes, he's 20 and still seeing Dr Mike as he doesn't have an adult teeth issues. As a mom who is very uncomfortable going to the dentist due to childhood negative experiences, it is wonderful how caring Dr Mike and his team are.They've made it a very positive experience for our son, and therefore for me.Wish he saw adults as his chair side manner is so very caring, I'd be there is a flash!

This place is amazing, starting from the reception to Dr. Layug. I'm glad I found this place and I will never take my kids anywhere else!Highly recommend this clinic!

Highly recommended, especially if you have a child who is scared of going to dentists. Dr. Layug and his staffs can make them feel safe. They are very good with children! The atmosphere is comfortable and clean. My son and daughter have been seeing him for three years. They both look forward to going to get their teeth cleaned. The dr. doesn’t push you into unnecessary X-rays and services.

Dr. Layug and his staff are amazing at making children feel comfortable for their dental procedures. My son almost looks forward to going so he can get his prize (toy) at the end of his appointment.

Dr Layug explained the X-Ray very carefully in details to parents. He follows the Ontario fee schedule and explained the cost before appointments. We had eight appointments in the past several months... fillings and root treatments. He is good at communicating with and calming down the kids, the most important thing is he is professional at his work. All the work were well done and kids never complain after the treatments, the numbness was gone shortly after. Nurses and receptionists are nice. Clinic is clean. Very professional, will recommend to neighbours and friends!
