I started taking private lessons with Jojo in February 2019 and it has been a very wonderful experience. She is the best and you will also have fun in class! She has become like my Cantonese mentor-friend and I look forward to each class.I am a Canadian-born Cantonese speaking Chinese person and never really learned to speak the language fluently with adult vocabulary and grammar proficiency. My goal is to learn to speak Cantonese fluently so I can converse with my aging grandparents more easily before it's too late. When someone speaks Cantonese to me, I can understand but have difficulty forming my own sentences in response.Within just a few months of lessons, I can feel the Cantonese flooding into my mind" more easily. Even though I feel embarrassed I've forgotten so many words

I love Jojo! HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER! She's an awesome instructor, very supportive and patient. I wanted to brush up on my Cantonese, and she helped focus my lessons to what I really wanted to learn. She's great at squeezing me in for a last minute session, or call when I have questions - especially when I need pronunciation coaching! I love her place, it makes the learning environment is very comfortable and fun!

Jojo is an excellent Chinese tutor. I have been taking private Cantonese lessons for the past few months. I have a busy schedule which she accommodates very well!She tailors her lessons to your level of Cantonese, and adapts to your learning style very well. She makes learning such a difficult language fun, which helps you remember it better! Jojo is an excellent Chinese tutor! I was a complete beginner when I started Mandarin lessons with her. I was surprised how quickly I was able to pick it up verbally and also write pinyin. Jojo makes learning fun. She has the understanding of how complicated intonations in the Chinese language can be to native English speakers. An added bonus is that you will also learn about the very interesting Chinese culture. I can't say enough great things about Jojo and her wonderful personality and teaching style.
