Winnipeg Scots Monument
The monument has a list of almost every town and village in Scotland along with some poignant verses to celebrate the Selkirk Settlers and their arrival here. There are also several stones built into the surrounding wall which were sent by various Scottish parishes and villages. Besides the monument itself, this is a nice part of the riverside path just a couple of minutes from the concert hall and Manitoba museum with a restaurant nearby situated in the old pumping house. There are also some benches to sit on. Anyone interested in early Scottish settlement in Winnipeg and Manitoba should definitely pay a visit.
