I often encounter people through my mortgage brokerage practice, who are at the early stages of a separation or divorce. In order to move forward with their real estate assets (whether they are buying a new home, buying a spouse out OR selling their matrimonial home) clients need to have a separation agreement completed. Super unprofessional and ended up owing the mortgage company thousands of dollars due to her negligence. She would not take responsibility for her mistakes and was extremely rude after realizing she made a huge mistake. She also kept forgetting to call back and ended up missing the close date by several days in the end. Even if they are cheap, there's a reason, it's not worth it to use her.Update: it was an open mortgage so there should not have been any fees or penalties if the lawyer contacts them in a timely manner as indicated by the contract provided to the lawyer.
