Rajasthani restaurant

Checked out Tatta Chulha, which specializes in Rajasthan vegetarian cuisine.Service was okay but they never brought any refills to our table after they offered. The thali claims to offer 15+ options but really it's a couple of small dishes with rice, three breads, two desserts and a drink.- Lemon ($3.99) - freshly squeezed with a subtle salty note. Wasn't impressed that they double charged our table.- Masala chaas - default drink that comes with the thali. Savoury drink that smells like boiled eggs, tastes like raita.- 2x Royal regular thali ($24.99) - carb centric. The three breads are plain and heavy. Bun was hearty and dense. Best things were the spicy panchmel dal and peas & carrots. Everything else was unmemorable.- Royal gluten-free thali ($26.49) - beware, you get less items with no replacements. Her favourites were the deep fried lentil fritters and peas & carrots. Other items were bland.Did not find the thalis worth the $25+ price point. 2.5 stars.

First time trying Rajasthani good. It was a great experience. Owners are such nice people, and it is a family owned restaurant. We started with Masala Papad and then had regular thali. Items in the thali were amazing in taste, homemade, and perfect flavors. We just couldn't stop eating. We ordered extra stuff in thali as 2 people shared one thali. We also ordered bhedmi poori and aloo, it is also great. They also gave chach (salt lassi) and it was yummy. In the end we had moong daal halwa and wow, one of the best ones.It is important to mention we ate too much but felt so light after eating and was easily digestive. Highly recommended.

Definitely a good place to have rajasthani food. Being rajasthani myself i would say they have modified dishes to cater canadian customers as well. This make it less spicy( not as per rajasthani flavours)Which make this good place in terms of food flavours but if you are craving for rajasthani food then you can go and have it fulfill.

One authentic Indian Rajasthani food" restaurant that you must visit. Location is slightly outside of Vancouver but easily reachable by car/taxi/uber in no time. Reservations are highly recommended if visiting for dinner.Thali is great and something you cannot go wrong with. However

Fantastic job with food, ambience and service. Being a Rajasthani, loved their food. It’s the closest to the authentic one I found here. Parking could be little tricky to find nearby so plan ahead.

Great place for amazing Indian food!! We love the thali. So much flavor in simple vegetarian dishes. You will be surprised! Their buttermilk is delicious too. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.We always end up going there when it is busy. Service for us has always been slow but we don't mind. The food is worth the wait.

We went here hoping to get some really good Rajasthani food but the food was as bland as a potato! We had a Thali, Daal Bhati and Gatta Pulao and all of them were quite disappointing. The Pulao had these chunks of Gatta (chickpea flour dumplings) that were hard and bland and didn't really go with the Pulao at all. My wife handpicked all the Gattas, set them aside and just had the Pulao in the end. The daal bhati was equally tasteless. Thali lacked spices and seems like it has been customized for North American palette.Service was okay. We were the only customers in the restaurant when we went and the place looked a bit desolate. The price for a Thali is around 27 CAD with taxes and it is not worth that price.Go here only if you don't mind shelling out a good bit of money on less than average food.

Amazing amazing amazing Indian food. Not the common stuff you find at most restaurants. Highly recommend their Rajasthani thalis. When they bring you the food, they explain what everything is which is really appreciated! Their service is always great and the food is always fresh. We've been back so many times and it's always the most requested restaurant from my family when they're in town.

We had royal dinner thali which has sufficient quantities all items, bonus we can refill any 3 items from thali which is quite interesting. Ambience quite well and rajasthani folk music too good. Good quality food and love the way they maintained tradition with service in copper coated all utensils including cutlery. There is big issues with parking to find. Over all satisfied with my first visit and recommend to visit.

Anyone who is looking for delicious & authentic Rajasthani food should definitely be coming here.. Excellent food with very good customer service. The staff is very friendly & considerate.We ordered the Royal Thali & the staff explained what goes with what. It was our first experience & we liked it very much. You get three free refills . It was a very filling thali. Loved the panchmel Daal with baati , chaach & Aamras the most. Our stomach & hearts were filled . We liked the experience very much. Definitely the best place to eat the Rajasthani Delicacy. 100% recommend this place to anyone.
