Solar photovoltaic power plant

Last year I got Solar Panels installed at my home in Ajax through SolarUp Inc. I dealt with Michael from the start to completion of the solar project. He is very knowledgeable and always available to answer all of my questions and explained everything in detail. He is very transparent in terms of project information from start to completion. Solarup took care of all the necessary coordination and permits from the city and the Electricity board. They also provided access to App to monitor power generation from the panels. Their electrician Mobin did an excellent job with the install and provided timely updates and answered all my questions in laymen terms. I will definitely recommend SolarUp Inc for solar system installations in Ajax.

Hiring a contractor is often a gamble, you never know what quality and value you will end up with. It is especially true for the PV solar project as the market offers variety of products and systems and choosing the right one is not simple. Our PV solar system had to be integrated with a metal roof and also had to be coordinated with an emergency power generator. So we requested a few proposals and Kajk’s was the most comprehensive, complete, transparent and offered the best value. Kajk’s installers were cooperative and proactive; despite covid related challenges, the installation went smooth and on time. Our system was sized to generate 11,910 kWh/year. On the first year anniversary the system recorded total generation of 11,892 kWh, which is within 0.15% of the originally forecasted value; very impressive accuracy. If it was not for a few days of power outage this spring/summer, the actual generation would have exceeded the forecasted value. We highly recommend Kajk Constructors for solar projects.

Michael was very helpful in walking me through the process of getting my solar project approved and installed. Kyle and Erlin did a great job on installing the panel on my roof. Everyone at SolarUp made the process easy. Great staff.

Johannes planned our solar system on our home in Kimberley BC. He took care of everything, including dealing with B.C. Hydro. From design of system to install we had excellent communication and quick responses to any questions. Johannes is very knowledgeable about solar energy, and it gave us the confidence to move ahead on this project. The price was very competitive and service was great. Johannes spent time with us after the install to teach us how to use our solar tracking apps. We would definitely recommend Solun to anyone looking for a system.

I’m a Richmond Hill resident in Ontario. It took me about one year from signing the contract in end of April last year to getting the solar panel installed end of April this year to actually using the solar panels early May this year. I’m expecting to get the government grant of $5000.00 soon (takes 40 days), but I got the 10-years interest free loan of almost the full amount of the solar panels plus tax in early June this year. I will need to pay monthly to return the loan. Solarup was very professional in helping me apply for the loan and the grant, and they responded to my questions very quickly. I paid $480 plus tax for the Ontario 1st Assessment and $210 plus tax for the Ontario Final Assessment, which are not included in the loan. Solarup also offered to install an EV charger for me at an additional cost of $1450 plus tax, which is a good deal with the charger included. Up until now (end of June), I used the electricity from my solar panels without any problems just like before without the solar panels. My system size is 5.85 kW DC. There will still be a connection charge of $30+ monthly from Alectra Utilities because this is their minimum charge even if you don’t use electricity at all. In the summer, I expect to get more than enough electricity from my solar panels and the excess will go to the grid and I will get credits in return which will be used to exchange for electricity in the winter. This is better than getting money and paying income tax. Installing the solar panels will not only increase the price of my house, save money in the long run, but also save a lot of trees! I encourage you to ask Solarup to install solar panels for you.

Quadra Power has been excellent to deal with! The owner, Rod, came to our home to explain the entire process and from then on Todd took very good care of us.
